Karla was no so foolish as to think that her life in the future with Warren and her children would be perfect or easy. Life didn't work that way, even if the random weekends almost made it seem that way

"No, it just feels that way," Karla mumbled, crossing her arms over her chest and looking at him. "How many teething children have you ever dealt with anyway?"
After meeting with Anakin, Raven had collected Alec again and gone in search of Karla. When she found her on the Rocky Bits, she had to pause and try not to laugh at the sight of the scritching conga line.
Alec, however, broke free of her mother's hand and launched herself at Karla. "Aunt Karla!" she exclaimed. "Hi, Uncle Warren! Hi, Kayla!" She wasn't too sure who Nommy was.
Karla leaned back to prepare for the incoming munchkin missile. "Well, hello...there!" she said, wrapping her arms around the little girl and quirking her eyebrows at Raven. "Guess you musta missed me, huh?"
"I think if I were not here she would be pretending she was your child, as she did to Momoko and Dinah," Raven said, drawing closer. "Karla, this is my daughter, Alec. Her father is...."
"Stupid and evil and dead," Alec finished cheerfully.
Dinah had handwavily called Karla to see if whe was on the island, and if so, if she had kids, and figured they might as well catch up with this iteration, if so.
Lasumi ran ahead, Sin right behind him, Laurie trailing behind Dinah and sulking a bit.
"We'll go to the diner after this, okay? Food, talking, and ... stuff." Dinah had been about to say 'your girlfriend' but it wasn't something she could joke about, exactly. She grinned at the sight of Karla and her family. "Hi guys."
"Aunt Karla!" Sin lit up as she rushed forward to try and grab Lasumi. "No jumping on winged people," she told him. "Hi Kayla! Hi Uncle Warren." A frown. "Hi... somebody else."
"Did I hear someone suggest a game of aerial tag?" Momoko approached the group waving and carrying a bag of (modable) food and drink things. "Totally not fair, since only half of us can fly. Hello, everyone! Sorry we took so long!"
Feeling much better after some quality time with just her and her mom, Boaz was skipping along beside Momoko, munching on a caramel apple and, like her mom, carrying a bag full of even more food things. Though her's was not as heavy, despite her protests, as her mom's. "We brought some food! Lots of it!"
"Oh, that's right! Poor things. All of you?" Momoko laughed, setting down her bags on a rock so she would be available for hugs, should any molters be interested.
"HI KAYLA!" Boaz ran to Kayla, offering her a bite of the caramel apple. "Is that your dad? You're right! His wings are pretty!"
"Hi Boaz!" Kayla jumped up to run and hug Auntie Momo, then sat at her feet and gave her big puppy eyes. "Wanna scratch my wings?" she asked, before taking a bite of Boaz's apple. "Mmm! That's yummy!"
Karla blinked several times at the name. "Boaz?" she asked, tilting her head in confusion at Momoko.
She preened a bit when Boaz talked about how pretty her Daddy's wings were. "Yup! That's my Daddy and my wings are juuuust like his! Or will be when I growed up!"

She stopped scritching Warren enough to poke him in the shoulder. "That's it. I'm divorcing you. Right now."

The wings kind of had her boggling though, when three out of four people had them. "Hey," she said, a little weakly.

A chorus of indignant "Hey's!" responded to that comment.
