My family en't "pure" by any means, and I en't even legitimate. Apparently the bloke who founded it though people's ancestry was important, but I think the hat in the city's ignoring it. But I still don't understand why they put a hat in charge. Why not a sock or something?

Ah, the hat forgot to tell me about the blood clause when he sorted me into Slytherin. I thought it's silly as well.
