So I'm sitting in the hospital holding my one-day old and reading about 1850's Wyoming as research for frontier American Ars Magica. Anyone interested?
Anytime you're sitting and holding a newborn is good times. Well, usually.
I'd love to come play frontier American Ars Magica, but I bet the commute would kill me. But my Sunday night game group is bouncing back and forth between D&D 4e and the third edition of Warhammer FRP. And having a good time of it.
Re Western Ars Magica, have you read Black Elk Speaks? Slightly out of time period, but it's the sortof auto-biography of one of the last big medicine men for the Oglala Sioux. It has a lot of insight into magic as practiced by the plains tribes during the period around the Ghost Dance.

Ha! I bet you thought I meant babies. I actually meant Wyomings. I got a 'buy 1, get 1 free' offer at Costco.
