So today we got a cute little piece of paper in the mail. It read: "It's halloween! Some trick or treaters might come to your house, so make sure you have candy!"

Blindly, we went to the shops and bought candy. We put it in a bowl. We put up scary signs, and even found a cool light up lantern.

Not a single child came.

I still think the demand 'trick or treat' is perfectly well interpreted as "I give them a treat OR I play a trick on them".
