Overdue status update

As those of you who are also friends of mari4212 know, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer last November.  Yes it is malignant, and I’ll be on a catheter until chemo is complete and I go for surgery in late March or early April.  The doctors are very optimistic about mylong-term prognosis.

Not an easy thing to live with but sounds like you are coping brilliantly - and men look good in kilts so that's a double bonus. Take care.

This is a full, semi-permanent (month at a time) catheter. I have it because one of the tumors has tried to block the urethra at the bottom of the bladder. Considering the pain associated with getting the catheter past this tumot, I'm not looking at any single use one.

I was really sorry to hear about your diagnosis from mari4212. I'm glad the prognosis is good, though. Chemo is a nasty business; I wish you as few side effects as possible and a loooong remission at the end.
