Captured [locked to Vile and Leviathan]

Feb 24, 2007 20:22

Consciousness was slow coming for Leviathan. When awareness finally settled in, she jerked up into a sitting position. She hissed in pain at the searing pain in her right leg, which she noticed had been haphazardly patched to stop the bleeding ( Read more... )

The room she was in was a dimly lit cavernous chamber, with a some haphazardly installed computer and electronic equipment on the walls. A large metal structure was covered with a tarp.

"Hello, precious," a voice said, coming from behind her.

Leviathan jerked away from the voice and dragged herself a bit away from him, "Don't call me that!"

Vile just grinned, advancing towards her. He held up a device, that looked quite like a detonator.

"I would do exactly what I said, pet. I installed a bomb in your internals while you were out~ Just, you know, to keep you in-line."

Vile snickered. He hadn't actually done that, but he had managed to tinker to the point that if Leviathan did an internal scan (or even if she had the ability to), she'd end up falsely detecting it.

Leviathan glared, running a quick scan. She quivered slightly as the scan backed up what he said.

The 'experience' of activating was short, compared to what came after. And so, Leviathan was exposed to Vile's recored memories of training, of becoming a Maverick Hunter. Of rising through the ranks, of his skills being debated, of his mental state being called into question. Of imprisonment, and then deactivation.

And through all that, she would experience his destruction of Mavericks, his own men, his own comrades. The thoughts and emotions as he thrilled to end their lives. And the hatred he felt for the Hunters, for making him into what he was and then having the audacity to say he had erred.

How could they be so foolish? So arrogant? So hypocritical? They had made a monster, and yet, they forbade him from being a monster ( ... )

As the influx of memories ended, all Leviathan could do was lay on the ground, shivering at what she had just seen.

The thing that disgusted her was that, in some untouched part of her mind, it all made sense.

Vile walked over, and disconnected the link connecting to Leviathan's head.

"How does it feel to be broken, Leviathan? How does it feel, to have seen everything through the eyes of a madman?"

He snickered, fully expected her to react to him with absolute fear.

Leviathan shivered, barely registering Vile's voice. After a moment, she whispered one thing:

"How cruel."
