Notes: Written for the first round of pledge_a_thon for greeneyes_fan , who asked for Sam h/c. I don't know how much of the "c" made it into the fic, but I hope you enjoy it.

It takes place sometime after 5.10, and not very long before 5.17. Appropriate spoilers apply.

( It ends with a nightmare, one that leaves Sam either sweating or crying, and Dean with an expression on his face that Sam can't read. But, before it can end, it starts with a headache. )

I like the confusion and choppiness that really makes Sam's POV clear. And you really capture the profound brokenness the boys have had all year. (Owies!)

I'm really glad that brokenness came across well, and that Sam seemed appropriately out-of-it. Those were the two aspects I tried hardest to bring into the fic, and wasn't sure how successfully I managed that.
