Transit-dazed Dean is adorable. So is Sam Dean!-ing at him like if Dean just hears how worried Sam is, he'll have to do what Sam wants, like not faint.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked those bits. I really enjoyed writing dazed Dean, but kept worrying it would come off as bizarre to readers. I'd also noticed that Sam and Dean have this way of just saying each other's name in place of actual words when shit happens, and thought I should incorporate the idea somewhere in here, but didn't know if I'd done it properly. It's really reassuring that you enjoyed it - thank you for that!
Thanks for the comment - I hope you continue to enjoy the fic!

I thought it was just right. It's especially noticeable in Sam, who has an extensive vocabulary and doesn't mind using it, but doesn't have adequate words for talking about his brother. (Dean avoids using most of his vocabulary on principle.) In Sam's universe, there's no more basic concept than "Dean," and vice versa. A dictionary of Samglish would have pages and pages of meanings for it, like "set" in English.
And then there's the word "brother". It's fun to watch others try to connect the word as they understand it -- a kinship term for a male sibling -- with the Winchester meaning, "Sufficient reason to destroy and rebuild the universe."
As for dazed Dean, have you read candle_beck's "Be Awake"?

Oh man, you put it just right, too - that's almost exactly how I see it. Sam, Dean, brother, and family are all these multipurpose, multifaceted words for the Winchesters. Outsiders just don't really get it.
I haven't read that fic, and a quick look at candle_beck's masterlist says it's Wincest, which would probably be why. I'm not really a fan of the pairing, for all that I love how absolutely essential to each other the brothers are.
