The tussle on the kitchen table was delightful.
This sentence is absolute perfection:
"In many ways, Jack and Ennis never came down from that mountain and spent the rest of their days recapturing the feelings that were first detonated there."
I love the whole sentence (and chapter (and story)), but especially "detonated."
I don't know if I've ever complimented the spareness of the language. I don't think I've complimented the flawless rhythm. Being the last chapter, I wanted to make sure I do.
