Title: Dream
Pairing/Characters: Tommy
Rating (Word Count): G (2x100)
Warning(s): none

Tommy's life has been marked by dreams.

As a child, he would soar over the city and relish the feeling of not having to be afraid.

In his teen years, the scenarios were mostly what would happen if he ever got the prettiest girl in school alone.

Living on his own at first, the all-too-realistic fears of not being able to make it. He'd thought of these as a sad concession that this was what it meant to be actually grown-up.

Finally making music like he wanted, dreams of applause and glitter and tender kisses that left him sweetly shivering.

After his father died, for the longest time it was nightmares of being trapped in never-ending rain and darkness, in painful solitude. These happened for so long Tommy feared it wasn't a sign of growing up, but cracking up. He'd awaken with a terrified gasp and sometimes only a pillow to hold onto as an anchor, the dark sensations lingering.

Nights like those, he didn't want to dream anymore.

It seemed to take forever until one of those dream nights, trapped in the middle of the dark, he could feel a comforting touch and breeze just pass over his head.
