The sensation was heavy on Isaac's chest, yet deep in the pit of his subconscious he knew nothing was really sitting on him. Not that it mattered; he just hurt like hell and every movement to breathe in air was a labored struggle.
His eyes were closed, only allowing him to see the odd lights and colored swirls that happened in the early moments of sleep- not that he could really know how long he'd been asleep for. Sounds were vague too, soft beeps and the occasional murmur of a voice pleading for answer. If he could just have air-
