Yep, definitely worth pondering. Thanks for sharing.

By the way, I saw you in the community and added you a little while back. Is that okay?

I love this line:

Great screenwriting is more difficult than brain surgery, yet most people think that they can write a great script because they watch a lot of movies or they did well in school.

It's funny because it's true. Screenwriting is damn hard. Or, at least good screenwriting is. Billy Wilder aside, not too many people can master it.

Hah. Guess I'll go jump out a window right now. Easier than dealing with plot points.

Trivia: my maternal grandfather was held in the POW camp in which Stalag 17 takes place. He's got a mention in it.

That's the best random fact of ever! I'm so jealous. My maternal grandfather did nothing of the sort.

In my opinion, The Apartment is one of the best screenplays ever written.

I actually have a full feature screenplay I wrote for a remake of the 80s blockbusting blockbuster "Lucas" starring, again, with Corey Haim reprising his role as a nerdy kid who just won't throw in the proverbial towel, even in the face of brutal ass rapings and towel snappings.

A soundtrack by Asia filled in the blanks.
