Thanks for the concern but my lecturers agree with what I've said above. In Scotland, it is illegal to film or photograph people without their consent if it's going to be used to anything except your own private use.

So, sure, some people might consider what I'm doing illegal.

But this is a small time art project that is going to be shown to a maximum of five lecturers at my university, and they have done this project time and time again.

I'd really like to avoid a discussion on legatlities in this post if at all possible, I really need the focus to be on brain storming.

I really like all of your ideas so far ...

something I've been toying with lately is leaving 'things' about with a sign that says 'take me' ... and I'm wondering if saying take me will have the opposite psychological effect ... kind of like the free hugs guy* made some people nervous because they wondered, hey what's the catch?

as far as filming ... I don't know! I have often coyly & successfully filmed people using a cellphone but I don't know how to be sneaky using bigger better equipment

have you read 'the guerilla art kit' by by keri smith? ... it's helpful !
