Chapter 1
It all started when Jung Yunho returned with a human. There was not any law that prevented vampires from bringing humans into the Kingdom, as long as the human was not forcefully brought in and willingly submitted himself to the vampire who brought him in. Bringing a human wasn’t a problem; rather, Jung Yunho being the one bringing a human was the problem.
Changmin narrowed his eyes as he followed the other vampire carrying the human inside the generals’ accommodation building. The ground was too hot for the human to walk on; the Kingdom of Fire’s climate was very warm for humans and the land was red from the lava leaking from the volcanoes sprawled across the territory. Therefore, buildings were charmed to be of a proper climate for the human feeders to live in. However, all feeders were brought in after going through the necessary procedures with the higher authority and through a signed agreement between the Kingdome of Fire and the human world. Vampires were to feed from the human feeders without killing them, or the consequences would be fetal for the vampire offender.
Curiosity had gotten the best of Changmin and forced his legs to move on their own towards the building and into his best friend’s room that he barged in without knocking.
He wished he didn’t.
He could perfectly remember the scene he found his friend in, the scent he smelled and the look of bliss on the human’s face.
“Yun-nho” The human had murmured as his eyes rolled in their sockets from the overwhelming pleasure he was feeling.
Yunho had pulled away, lips smeared in blood and eyes glowing with hunger. He turned his head and acknowledged Changmin’s presence, something that he had felt before the other burst into his room.
“Who is this?” Changmin muttered, eyes locked on the shivering human in his best friend’s arms.
“Yoochun,” Yunho replied softly, cleaning his lips with his tongue. “From now on, he’s my personal feeder.”
Changmin’s eyes glowed to a darker shade of red. They trailed on the human in his friend’s arms. He was pale, so pale he could be mistaken for a vampire from the Kingdom of Ice, a Freezer, if not for his dark hair and even darker eyes. He was thin, and fragile, but not as fragile as the other feeders.
And his blood scent…
Something about the scent of his blood felt sweet, sinful and alluring all at the same time, and it enticed Changmin. He wanted to taste him, no, he needed to taste him. Changmin couldn’t for his sanity comprehend where this desire had come from or why it had come about. He had never fed from one particular feeder before, being always flexible and content with whoever he fed on. The fire user vampire had always believed that humans were merely weak mortals who existed for vampires to feed on; they were just food and nothing else. All of them were the same, all of them produced blood and every single one of them was going to die one day with no one feeling sorry for their deaths.
So, why? Why was he suddenly craving for this human? Why was his inside scrunching in need? Why was his heart beating so hard in his chest? Why were his fangs extending by themselves? And why the hell were his senses swiped by the scent of this human’s blood?
He had to shut this feeling down. He had to do something. He needed a taste.
“Can I taste him?” Changmin blurted out with a deep voice.
“No!” Two voices answered at the same time; one firm, the other panicked.
Changmin’s red eyes narrowed as he watched Yunho’s arm being squeezed under pale hands. Yunho looked at him with an unreadable face.
“I’m sorry, but no one is allowed to feed on him but me,” He turned his head towards Yoochun, fingers sliding on his pale cheek. “Isn’t that right, Yoochun?”
Yoochun nodded his head, leaning into the touch.
It pissed Changmin off and drove him to leave the room with flamed anger.
He honestly didn’t understand.

It was such a blissful feeling.
Yoochun arched his back, opened his mouth and pushed himself against the vampire pressed against him. God, he had never felt such pleasure in his life; sex didn’t even come close to the feeling racking his body and rocking his inside. The moans escaping his mouth were nothing he could control. His hands tried to find something to grasp on, something to hold onto, but there was nothing he could hang onto except for the body pressed against him. His fingers gripped Yunho’s hair, pushing the vampire’s head once away, but pulling him closer twice harder.
He was hard, so very hard. He didn’t need to be touched, because he knew that he was going to get off just from being fed on. And he was close, so close. His body rose and fell with unsustainable pleasure and just when he was about to let go, everything stopped, and the fangs inside of his neck pulled out and he was down from his peak.
“Cruel.” Yoochun breathed in Yunho’s ear.
Yunho chuckled. “Sorry.” He answered, caressing the feeder’s back.
“I’m so fucking hard,” Yoochun whined, sneaking his face closer to Yunho’s neck. “Please.”
The vampire pushed him away gently, neglecting the weak whine of protest coming from the human’s lips. “I might kill you. You need to rest.”
“So very cruel.”
Yunho smiled, helping Yoochun to lie on the bed they shared. “I’ll bring you food.” He told him, kissing his forehead.
“Take all the time you need.” Yoochun answered with a smile, rolling on his side to hide the result of the feeding session.
“I will.” Yunho replied and left the room.
Yoochun allowed himself to moan in despair. He sneaked his hand under his pants and started stroking himself. His mouth opened with every firm squeeze he reflected on his length and his eyes shot tightly as a new kind of pleasure invaded his body.
Not the same, he told himself.
It was always the same. What Yunho had been doing to him for the past two months, talking to him, getting to know him, taking care of him, and then feeding on him once every few days, had become a routine. He had never imagined that being fed on felt this good, but his biggest surprise came from the vampire who refused to use him for anything more than a feeder, not even if Yoochun wanted him to do more. It was always so frustrating and Yunho always left him desperate for more. But Yoochun understood; the vampire had someone he loved, or rather, someone he shouldn’t love. Yunho's love and desire were directed towards the enemy he was meant to kill, the enemy who should not have been the target for such emotions. .
The room’s door opened and then closed, causing Yoochun to halt his movement. He froze on his spot, hand softening where it was and eyes slowly opening. Yunho would never come back before an hour or so; he never did. However, the feeder knew exactly who the newcomer was. He closed his eyes again and decided once again to not acknowledge the presence of the other vampire. His hand preceded its previous task and he stroked himself harder, causing his body to shudder in response.
Yoochun heard the faint labored breath of the other vampire and he ignored it, working on his length harder. It was always the same. Whenever Yunho left, Changmin would come. The other vampire would just stand by the door, watch him get rid of the problem he had and then leave. The first few times had been difficult; Yoochun was never an exhibitionist, but he had managed to relieve himself after Changmin had whispered-
“Do it. I’m not here and you’re alone.”
However, he was not alone, and Changmin was there watching him. Something about the vampire troubled but enthralled him at the same time. Something in the bottom of his stomach would stir and his release would come nearer whenever the other was around. Yoochun had been fascinated by the color of Yunho’s eyes and being curious whether Changmin’s eyes would be of the same shade, the feeder turned his head for the first time, his lust blown eyes meeting dark red ones. The intensity of Changmin’s stare blew him away, pushed him over the edge and he came so hard in his hand.
His eyes closed, his chest heaving up and down as he tried to come down from his height. And just like before, the door opened and Changmin was gone. Yoochun curled on his side, arms wrapping around himself as his heart clinched painfully in his chest.
He honestly didn’t understand.

The battle was fierce; one that the Kingdom of Fire had obviously lost. Changmin put the body of the Flame he was carrying on the floor, immediately backing away when a little kid dropped by his feet and on top of the body, crying for the death of his father. He held his breath and walked with an impassive expression on his face inside the building, heading immediately towards the feeding room. As the vampire held a random human, and sank his fangs not so gently in the other’s neck, blood pumped into his mouth and inside his heart. He felt alive once again; all the weariness of the battle washed away and was replaced with satiation and strength. He pulled off, pushed the human away and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Once in the hallway, he stared at the flight of stairs leading to the second floor and then to the room at the back of the building - the humans’ kitchen.
Changmin knew that if he returned to his room, he would have to pass by Yunho’s room and he would hear his best friend feed on his human feeder. He snorted; he didn’t think that he would ever be envious of his friend, the once poor servant. Changmin had no one; everyone close to him had died in this vicious war between the Kingdom of Fire and the Kingdom of ice, this war that had lasted more than nine hundred years. His brother, the last member of his family, had died a few months ago and he was left with no one by his side but his best and only friend. Yunho had been there for him ever since they were children, training together after everyone had gone to sleep, playing together when the training got too serious and consoling each other for the losses they had to go through in this war.
So to be envious of his best friend and desiring something he owned was new to Changmin. But he had no control over it. There was something about the human that lured him in, something he couldn’t put his hands on. Yoochun was probably the only thing he craved for more than the desire to kill more Freezers.
Without thinking and for the first time, Changmin headed towards the kitchen and stood by the doorway. A few sets of eyes stared at him in fear and he snorted mentally at the smell of fear the humans emitted, something he never smelled in Yoochun’s blood.
“I need food for a feeder.”
In less than a minute, the vampire’s hand was occupied with a box he presumed contained humans’ food. The next minute he found himself resting his head on the wall beside Yunho’s room. Closing his eyes, Changmin tried to control himself. He could hear Yoochun’s moans, he could smell the sweet fragrance of the latter’s blood, and he could feel the pleasure racking the human’s body even from behind the door. He bit his lip so hard it bled. Few seconds passed before everything was gone and the only thing left in the air was that sweet scent.
His eyes opened and narrowed as he heard the conversation going between Yunho and Yoochun. He didn’t know that Yunho would ever confess his involvement with the enemy with anyone but him. Had they become this close?
The door opened and Yunho was out. Changmin closed his eyes and ignored the eyes staring at him.
“You told him about Jaejoong.” Changmin stated.
“I did.” Yunho replied, resting his back against the door.
“Do you trust him that much?”
“I do.”
“I see.” Changmin swallowed, lowering his eyes and fixing them upon the ceramic floor.
“What are you doing?” Yunho asked, laying his watchful eyes on Changmin. “If you intend to play with him, he’s not a toy.” Yunho said with a voice hard with seriousness.
“When have I ever played with anyone but you?” Changmin replied with the same seriousness Yunho had spoken to him with.
Their eyes met, neither willing to break the gaze. “Just remember, his blood is mine.” Yunho finally said before he walked away.
Changmin didn’t understand where the words he blurted came from, but he was beginning to understand the meaning behind them, behind his feelings. He slipped into the room and just like usual, Yoochun was curled on his side on the bed. He watched the human touch himself and his heart sped up with excitement. The wound on Yoochun’s neck was still fresh and the blood continued to leak slightly as the human forced his body to be controlled in heat. The box of food dropped from Changmin’s hand and for the first time, his legs moved and he allowed himself to drop onto the bed. The human froze and he could feel his shock, his confusion and the need to continue what he was doing.
He crawled closer to the human. He put his heated hand over the pale skin of Yoochun’s arm, being unable to differentiate between the shiver he emitted and the shiver Yoochun’s body produced. Sneaking one hand underneath the silent shivering figure of the human to grip his waist, his other hand traveled south and found its way on Yoochun’s hand over his erection.
Instantly, Yoochun whimpered, hand retrieving and hips bucking in his warm hand. Changmin felt himself growing hard, and he pressed his lips in the junction between Yoochun’s neck and shoulder and then licked. A breathy moan escaped Changmin’s lips at the taste of the pale human’s skin, his hand reacting with him as it squeezed the hardness of Yoochun’s length. His body heated and his heart pounded so hard in his chest that he could hear it loud and clear. His hand moved faster and rougher on Yoochun’s cock, jerking him off with so much force that made the human scream in his hold. Yoochun’s body stiffened before he convoluted, mouth opening in a silent moan as he pumped cum in his pants and in Changmin’s hand.
The vampire’s hand stilled, his breath still uneven but it didn’t come anywhere near as intense as Yoochun’s labored breath. When he pressed a kiss to Yoochun’s neck, Changmin frowned at the feel of crumbled skin instead of the soft one he had kissed a moment ago. He inspected Yoochun’s skin where he had touched and found it slightly burned.
“Fuck,” Changmin cursed, flipping Yoochun on his back and taking his pants off. There was a few burning marks on his abdomen and naval as well as on his erection. “I-I’m so sorry,”
“It’s… It’s okay.” Yoochun smiled softly.
Changmin couldn’t think of anything but the only solution he had. He bit his own wrist, breaking his own skin, and offered his wrist to the human. “Drink,” He ordered.
“No, I’m fine.” Yoochun shook his head, his face crunching at the smell of Changmin’s blood.
“You need to drink to heal.” The vampire reasoned before pressing his wrist to Yoochun’s lips. “Now drink.”
Yoochun reluctantly opened his lips and closed them around Changmin’s wrist. He hesitantly sucked on the vampire’s blood for a few seconds before pulling away and coughing violently.
“Shhh,” Changmin stroked Yoochun’s hair gently, trying to control his power. The wounds on Yoochun’s neck healed as well as his burns. “You’re fine.” The black haired vampire wanted to take away that disgusted look from Yoochun’s face; he wanted to kiss him and suck the remaining of his own blood away, but he couldn’t. Something told him that it wasn’t the right time to get closer to the human.
Although the wound on Yoochun’s neck had healed, there were still a few droplets of blood that stained his neck. Changmin’s eyes glowed in hunger and need and he lowered himself, kissing his way to the blood on Yoochun’s neck.
“Stop!” The human weakly shouted.
Changmin quirked his eyebrows in confusion.
“You can’t,” Yoochun explained, turning his head to the side.
“I,” Changmin began, “I want you so bad.” He said breathing the scent of Yoochun’s blood.
“You,” Yoochun swallowed, “you can have me,” he hesitantly continued. “but not my blood.”
Changmin’s hands gripped Yoochun’s waist tightly, and he closed his eyes tightly as anger started filling him again. “Why?” He asked between gritted teeth.
Yoochun met the vampire’s eyes and his gaze softened. “I owe him my life. I can’t…”
Changmin’s lips thinned. He pulled himself up and hopped off the bed, taking the box of food from the floor and putting it beside Yoochun’s head. He averted his gaze from Yoochun and swallowed the lump in his throat.
“Eat.” Was the only word coming from the vampire’s mouth before he dashed out of his best friend’s room. He ran inside his room and slammed the door shut. With his hands running in his hair in frustration, he kicked a chair, sending it flying in the air and crashing against the wall.
He finally understood what he was feeling, what he wanted, what he really desired and what he craved for. It wasn’t just the blood; it wasn’t just the forbidden fruit he couldn’t get. It was much more. He wanted Yoochun; he wanted him wholly to himself and just for himself. It was too soon, he knew, but the feeling was too intense, and so new. He would be lying if he said it didn’t freak him out because it did. But he was suddenly willing to succumb to this desire and these emotions that found its way to his heart because for the first time in his life, he really wanted someone, not something and he was willing to fight to get this someone, even if the price was fighting his only friend. Changmin knew that if he didn’t fight, he wouldn’t get Yoochun.
However, although this wasn’t the first thing that he wanted and couldn’t get, he felt hurt and pained and for the first time in his life, he allowed himself to voice out his thoughts.
This is not fair, not at all.
