they probably wont let him have the sedaris book because he talks about his drug habit in it. and its not nearly as good as me talk pretty one day.

haha, no problem. i haven't read this one yet but i was talking to someone about it the other night and they said it was really good. i don't know james very well so i thought the newest would be the best choice just in case he has already read the others.

that is really nice of you!! i just sent my other friend, who is also in prison... a book of short stories called The Best American non-required reading (from amazon as well). i don't think the prison will ban the sedaris book. they probably just look to see that it's fiction and not with any agenda. y'know? thank you for putting his address up there again too, i misplaced his address when i moved.

true but gina did send james some vice magazines when he was at jackson and they wouldnt allow him to have those because they talked of drug use.

wow, i didn't know they really banned books for content! how fucked up is it that you're already locked up and now you can't even read about whatever the fuck you want to! it's not like he's going to read a book with drug use in it, get out of jail, and run for the next pusher!
