Satellite 1 is a one-day SF convention being held in Glasgow in October to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the launching of Sputnik 1. Confirmed Guest of Honour: Ken MacLeod.

This is a long shot, but I managed to leave a backpack on the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow last night (left Edinburgh at 10pm). I've tried the Glasgow and Edinburgh station lost property offices with no luck yet, though they say it might get handed in tomorrow.
