Restaurant recommendations please

I have recently graduated from uni and my boyfriend's parents have offered to take us out for a meal. They're very nice and we all get on rather well. Does anyone have parent friendly restaurants to recommend that are nice and are not extremely expensive? City centre preferable but am open to other locations

that russian place IS amazing. i would say mother india (there's two locations... the one on dumbarton rd. is tapas style indian or something, the other one is more of a full dinner place i think) or theres a bunch of nice places on byres road, or make 'em take you to ashton lane if they're paying!
