Mood Update

Mar 06, 2013 07:22

Yesterday was rough.

General anxiety, distraction, and major food cravings set the stage for a major meltdown precipitated by criticism at work.

I'm feeling a bit better today, but I'm worried about this weekend. I really don't feel up to doing kids activities at Daffodil. I'll do them, because it's my job, but I'm not really looking forward to it. ( Read more... )

Can you get someone maybe to help you this weekend? Fess up that you're not feeling yourself and need someone to help you as a bit of a booster for the project?

Luckily for me, Kingdom Law states that I must have another non-related adult present for all activities. This year, Aeringunnr has graciously agreed to help out. :)

I'm pretty lucky on that count.

Have you been getting any exercise? I have found that I since I no longer walk to work, I have more mood issue and general malaise. It may help, but I have no medical knowledge.

I just checked Kingdom law - I don't think the Family Affairs minister is a required position. If you aren't in the right head space now, stop, and then take it back up when you _want_ to. Just saying'

I so totally get the trouble with SCA time, but had never thought about it in terms of kids activities. Timings can be infuriating for adults and kids don't care when court is, do they? :)

You're right on the money as far as lack of exercise goes. I'm really bad for convincing myself that I can't take my lunch break because I have SO MUCH WORK TO DO!! (Except, realistically, I don't). I'm going to try going for a walk today.

I'm in a much better space today, so I'm planning to do kids activities at Daffodil because Morgaine asked me to and I agreed to it, but Mike and I talked about the possibility of my stepping down in September. It will have been about 2 years, so I won't feel so much like I'm ditching my post.

SCA Time just reminds me of how many different walks of life are drawn to the SCA. Time means different things to different people...

I'd love to see you too! I have Daffodil on Saturday, but Sunday morning might be doable. If you need child-distraction, Zoe's down visiting us this weekend. :)

How about 10am on Sunday? I'd love to see Zoe too. Between the child and the dog, my preference is to go for a walk, probably in Oak Bay area. The kid walks way better when the dog is along.
