Opal prototype yarn. I love these socks. MIne mine mine :D I have started another pair. Yukon leaves with a picot hem. A real brain ripper, the picot hem not the pattern part.
That would be the small gauge. Anyone can knit stuff that looks perfect with a 2.00mm needle ;) The gauge is like 9 to 10 stitches to the inch. When I knit with bigger needles it isn't pretty :D
I love the socks! And my feet turn in like that naturally when I'm not paying attention (really tired or relaxed). :D I was born "pigeon toed" and had corrective shoes and stuff. Usually you can't tell. :p
Well if you ladies would measure up your tootsies there could be socks heading your way. I knit all the time. And someone left a lot of sock yarn at my house. I can't imagine how that happened. Really I would love to knit you a pair of socks. measure how long your foot is, from the back of the heel to the tip of your big toe measure from the back of your heel to the base of the big toe measure around the widest part of your foot measure from you ankle bone to the floor. Send me the measurements and we will get the knit fairies right to work. Oh and the light colored sock, I ripped it all out. Or frogged it, ripit ripit. The cute little picot hem was so tight I could hardly get the sock over my arch. It fit perfectly once on, but I could see me tearing a hole in it someday. I will start them over again, sans picot hem.
Opps Penn, you should model socks for Interweave Knits. They always pose their models like that. I guess they think it looks all girlie and cute. Who knows ;)
Lyric, I would love a pair of socks!! How sweet of you. :) I'll get the measurements to you ASAP. I have a very tiny foot so it shouldn't take much yarn. :D
woohoo tiny feet. That would be a first. My daughter has a size 11/12 foot and mine are 10 1/2 Its genetic, remember the grape stomping ;)And let me know if any of the patterns are something you like. Or if you look at my knitting blog, you can see the self patterned yarn. Also what colors work best for you. Don't worry I think I have every color except orange. http://lostpurl.blogspot.com
Someone keeps putting more sock yarn in my closet. I have no idea how that happens. I think they follow me home like stray puppies. Actually I was in a yarn swap and I made out like a bandit. I got rid of some really ugly yarn and got back some very very nice stuff. Most of the sock yarn you can throw in the washer and dryer. This will be so much fun.
Well dear one, a sock or two for me might be a bit of a challenge, as ma feet are size 6 long and size 12 wide. Real paddy-walkers. I swearr there are some frog-genes there somewhere in the background...

Your knitting is always so perfect. Never looks hand-crafted, y'know, with all the lumps and pulls.
