What To Do With The Books

I recently had a tatting class and lent one of my students a Tatting Pattern book. She called me all excited, the book is selling for close to $500.00 on Ebay a bit less on Amazon. eek. I have two bookcases full of Lace Making books. Most were gifts from my parents, when I couldn't afford $20.00 for a book. I knew that a lot of them were out of ( Read more... )

Sounds like you're sitting on a motherlode, there, dear. i understand not wanting to supply snotty lace princesses. But, it could be a sweet way to make a little more than you might otherwise have - especially if it's only for your daughter.

Surely there are neighbouring libraries who aren't self destructing?? Distant relatives who're into the geneological thing?

i still think there's nothing wrong in making a buck or 2 off it. Nice of you to impart some of your treasures to your students :).

You might want to check if there are any lace making communities on LJ or other sites. They might be able to give your collection a good home or homes.
