thank you! I don't mind at all. I used a variety of materials. Most of the bodies are constructed out of aluminum foil and then covered with sculpey oven bake clay. Then I either paint or paste fur or cloth on them for texture. All the joints and limbs are attached with small circle pins.
i can't even tell you how much i love these!! i try to make puppets but i never follow directions and they get all crumbly and headless/armless/etc. these are just perfect perfect.
I'm glad you like them! I'm practicing building puppet after puppet so they become more sturdy and detailed. I have had several catastrophes in the past as well. I really like using aluminum foil structures underneath sculpey and find they stay pretty strong that way.
I would love to see some of your puppets if you get back into it again.
ahh! i imagine you use some type of wire underneath? i actually wanted to go to school for puppetry... it looks like alot of mechanics and math though,so i was scared off!
