I am really glad your parents were so nice about it! Ha, that 'yeah we knew' reaction - I had that when my old school friend Stuart came out, and I think he was also a bit disappointed. I guess because one agonises about whether and then when and then how to make The Big Announcement, it's such an ANTICLIMAX if nobody is surprised.
But come on, Stuart, my mother taught you when you were five and she knew you were gay then. Your gaiety was unmistakable.
I hope both Ohio and Philadelphia welcome you back with open arms.

So happy your parents were so accepting. I don't think all parents in the world get how important that is. That's wonderful what your father said to you.

I can't believe you're leaving the west coast already! It's a trip isn't it? I've been here for five years and I am still not a good west coaster.

And yeah, if you're a writer television is where it is at. You have so many more rights and it's much more of a steady job than movies. I WANT to write for movies, but even I know television is a better gig.
