We citizens of the internet love spoilers. Spoilers for movies upcoming tv episodes, casting rumors, script updates, blurry onset pics and videos, Comic Con appearances, promotional behind-the-scene tv spots. We live in an instant-gratification era. Hollywood is struggling SO MUCH to keep up and are frustrated by all the items you have just laid out. It'll be interesting to see how they evolve.

I am strange about spoilers. If it's something I know I am going to invest in, then I don't want to know ANYTHING. I want to go in blind. I'm really susceptible to other people's opinions. If someone says just one little thing, it's really hard for me to form my own thoughts- because I always wonder, "Would I have thought this alone, or is it because of that comment I am forming my opinion this way?"

If I know I am not going to heavily involve myself with something though, I don't mind knowing everything about it, I think partly because I really enjoy watching people get excited about things they love.

This is very well-written, glassy.

This is why I often scroll past any graphics for released/aired movies and shows I have seen. However, the images are still unavoidable, and I don't want to unfollow a person just because of a fandom. It takes me several days to a week to get through dashboard (I bookmark the pages I stop on, and continue from there), so that's one way I avoid spoilers for recent things. I think that's one reason why I'm grateful that it takes so long for me to see things - I watched Toy Story 3, Inception and Inglourious Basterds months after the tumblr frenzy died off, so I could judge the films on their own merit.
