Jess, I really hope your friend Deb and her family are safe and sound. I reckon she is though, don't fret too much. I was watching the news, and they showed all these graphic terrible scenes of dead bodies, and wasted architecture. It brought tears to my eyes. But this is the outcome, this is what we are doing to our world, by the hands of man. Just like here in my state, we are going thru major droughts, and our water supply is very very low, pretty soon this will be a total desert wasteland, yet still i see people watering their lawns, the water flowing into the streets, being WASTED! Fucks, i just want to strangle them, and make them realize water is life! without it we are all dead. Jeez, sorry for the sidetracking. I just wanted to convey that we are all suffering.
And fuck that guy for yelling at you, argh i would have wanted to cry too. That really is insensitive of him. Some people is right, people like them.
Anyhow, keep well Jess, don't worry too much, else you'll make yourself ill. *hugs* I'm here for you.

Thanks heaps Diandra, it helps. I really appreciate it.
Yeah.. I saw some footage on the news today, man, it completely fucking wiped out whole islands. There was this one island where there was nothing, no people or anything - except for a mosque. Eerie, huh? Sorry if you've heard/seen that already.
Oh man, it's almost a drought there? :S Shit man, I would feel like hitting those arse people, the fucks. I really, really hope that water comes to you guys soon - not too much though. The bastards, don't they realise how precious it is? Fucks.
Thanks Diandra, as always, your words help.
Have a good night, and I hope it rains some over there soon.

You are very welcome =)
I heard a little about islands being wiped out, and the earth's axis was slightly pushed off balance due to the Tsunami and shifting of the oceans plates. Fucking insane. I REALLY hope your friend is okay, let us hope for the best. *hugs*
It has been raining this week, we really need it. I'm pretty sure they are working on a water reservation type of deal, hopefully before it runs out. Bastards who cannot conserve are sealing their own graves.
Some people are just assholes, you should have told him to shut the fuck up. Honestly, some people just need to be directly told. My friend's family was also hit by the natural disaster, but none of them were killed. It's horrible when those things happen. I'm sure your friend will contact you soon. No worries.
I think if you don't say something in return when you're being harrassed that you tend to feel like a total victim. My whole life, up into middle school people picked on me. And I never said anything, I just took it and cried when I got home. And after a while I was like, "This is bullshit." So the next time it happened I took action. And it worked. I didn't have to develope a sense of FEAR in others around me, I just had to set the bar straight that I was nice, but not to be messed with.
Some people are total assholes and just thrive on attacking others. (Omg, especially those a-holes who are in a group and do it to make their friends laugh.) They need either TOLD firmly to stop, or screamed at. Haha OR you could talk to your supervisor about him. Say his name calling etc has been interfering with your work and you'd like for it to end.
Thanks for sharing that with me Jill. Likewise, all of my school years I was picked on, so I guess it sort of paralyses me when it still happens today.
I admire that you stood up to them though, that takes alot of balls.
Thanks for the advice, i'll remember that next time someone tries to make me feel like shit.
Somebody please tell me that I'm dreaming... actually don't.dead_cat_December 31 2004, 21:15:50 UTC
Hypocrites aren't worth bothering with, but it's an enormously high thing to ignore him. Just not to waste energy on him. Oh and as for the guy who shouted at you - he was the one who messed up! He just shifted the blame onto you, so as to make it look like it was obvious that he didn't want the drums then - I HATE people like that! People who don't make things clear.. like my dad lol.
The tsunami was absolutely devastating, :( I certainly HOPE your friend Deb is alright and well. We can just pray.. or similar.
I seem to be holding out OK, apart from drinking too much since I got back down here, but that's not unusual for me. I've been finding Christchurch a bit lonely. It's very quiet and slow.
No, I didn't get that card, did you
a) Send it to grohanthizar@yahoo.com and
b) Did you send it from a hotmail account? Sometimes there's difficulties sending and receiving between yahoo and hotmail. Damn corporate behemoths.
Everyone needs their escape, I just hope that you don't need yours for too long.
Uhm, I sent it to the email addy you've got on your LJ 'profile'. I sent it ages ago, it was a cat one saying that i'm sorry about what happened in Auckland.
