Failed Hype

Snakes on a Plane was number one in the box offices, but only brought in 15.25 million in this opening weekend. It's budget was 30 million. I'm actually surprised by this.

I think it is a movie that appeals to a cult following though and will probrably have farther drug out revenues so hopefully won't be a total flop...

It's a niche film, i wasn't expecting a record shattering weekend

it's summer, so i bet a lot of people will go see it during the week, too. i saw it, and was very much entertained.
