Work Schedule Change... Not a Moment Too Soon
Work on Friday was a little unexpectedly hectic to say the least. Our hostess just straight up fled the scene, without telling anybody she was leaving. The job atmosphere can definitely be a little crazy to say the least, and there are people who are difficult to work with, and I'm sure the stress just got to the girl. Nutrition is over. I rocked the final. There were six points of extra credit and I felt like I knew everything, but trying to be somewhat modest I'll guess I got a 104. You know the thing is, I really am fascinated by nutrition, and while I missed being in a kitchen for three weeks, I sort of wish the course was longer or more integrated into our ( Read more... ) -
Laundry and Other News
I was going to write about the impressive ten loads of laundry I have done since Friday, but then I realized how sad and pathetic that actually is to write about.

1. First Peppermint Mocha of Holiday Season 2007 today during my FREEZING walk home. I seriously needed it for the warmth, not the caffeine, but it made me smile.

I passed my knife skills exam, hooray! Even the seven sided football shaped potatoes (chateaus) didn't get to me too much. It's definitely the most intense test of the week (out of 5 total) so, I'm just relieved to have it done, and to know I did well. Social Life Reconvenes! :)
Thank goodness! I'll write more after the fact, but tomorrow people from class are coming to my apartment for drinks and hor dourves for a little pre-funking party. Then we are all going out! More classmates will be meeting us out after they get off of work. :) (That's the thing about this business, lots of working night.)All in all, most people ( Read more... )
