Martha + Eleven, those of us who did not wait

He doesn't like to visit them after they leave.

It's not out of spite or bitterness or any of the other hundred thousand reasons they come up with, sitting alone at home, waiting to hear whirring noise and see a mysterious blue box, the doors open just for them.

If the Doctor were to think about it, which he likes to think he doesn't, he'd say that it was simply out of absentmindedness than anything else. He just forgets to come back again

He is so very lonely. And it would have been lovely; I just feel that if Martha had spent any more time with him she'd have been much more tempted to leave with him.

I love the idea that Martha's not waiting around for him, partially because of how he treated her and derailed her life as she knew it, and partially for contrast with how Rose always chased after him. I like thinking that Martha has her two feet on the ground, and though she still loves him, she's moved on.
