The very same is true for me and just about everybody.

Things aren't so clear when you aren't looking at them from an outside perspective. It is impossible to be a neutral party to yourself. Strong emotions tend to hinder clarity.

yeah...holy shit revelations can kick you in the ass sometimes...especially when it explains a lot of your own psyche...why one would be afraid of clowns or why the texture of rust is so nice.
i guess defense mechanisms are always at work...
artificially accelerated levels of dopamine or serotonin in the brain help for filtering out pretty much everything as well.
