< Final Act: When Flowers Once Again Bloom >

< Final Act 1 >

[NARRATIVE]: Severald days after the hole appeared in the sky...

[We see the purple sky with the gate. A few cut-ins show that the sky is the same seen from several cities.]

-Council Chamber-

Alexia: ...So, as a contingency measure, I would like the Royal Knights to direct the evacuation.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Understood. And what about you, Your Highness?
Labyrinthia: We've received a report from the survey expedition that was investigating the spiraling singularity--the "hole", if you will.
Labyrinthia: They've determined that the "hole" is located directly above Mt. Urartu, and that it's slowly growing in size.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Mt. Urartu...?
Levin: Does that mean something to you, Father?

[Eisen closes his eyes in thought.]

Royal Knights Captain Eisen: ...
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Your Highness... I am embarrassed to report this, as it was a shameful moment for the Royal Knights, but...
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: ...
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Earlier, when we were tracking the movements of Weisheit, we infiltrated a secret hideout of his in Mt. Urartu.
Alexia: A hideout of Weisheit's?
Levin: That was where he took you down and made you turn against the princess, right?
Clarissa: Hey, don't interrupt!

[Levin pouts and puts his hands behind his head.]

Royal Knights Captain Eisen: We had heard legends of a mechanical ship at the base of Mt. Urartu, which is why we went to investigate there in the first place.
Felius: A mechanical ship...?
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Yes.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Stories of a mechanical ship falling from the heavens and crashing into the mountain several hundred years ago are still told in nearby settlements.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: The shape of the vessel was said to ressemble a dragon...
Felius: The Lombardia...
Clarissa: ...Felius...
Felius: The Lombardia was my ship...and it's presumably what brought Kressen to Filgaia, as well.
Alexia: Kressen... The man who now calls himself Weisheit...
Ragnar: And now, there's a hole in the sky... Are we to assume that somehow he's involved again?
Labyrinthia: But isn't Weisheit...
Felius: But outside of Weisheit, no one on Filgaia would be able to use Elw Borean technology!
Felius: This is his doing, it has to be!
Clarissa: And now we know where he is. Let's go!
Alexia: We're the only ones who are available at the moment. So this is something that only we can do.
Clarissa: Weisheit has run roughshod over Filgaia for far too long! We need to put an end to this!

[The party sets out from the council chamber, but Eisen stops Levin.]

Royal Knights Captain Eisen: ...Levin.

[Levin turns to him.]

Levin: Don't try to stop me, Father. I have to do this to protect our world.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: That's the path you've chosen. I won't try to stop you.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: But do come home from time to time. The anniversary of your mother's death is coming up, you know.
Levin: But...you said I wasn't welcome...
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: You took a key to the mansion when you left, didn't you?
Levin: Ah...!
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: I let you take that key. So you could come home whenever you were ready.

[Levin gets flustered.]

Levin: Father...! That's hardly disowning me, now is it?!
Levin: ...

[He smirks and puts his hand to his heart.]

Levin: But...thanks.
Levin: Maybe we should throw a party or something on Mother's anniversary this year.
Royal Knights Captain Eisen: Your mother was a lot like you... She always lived for excitement. I think a party would make her happy.
Levin: Then we'll do it as soon as I get back. For now, I'd better get moving.

[Levin turns and leaves, and Eisen watches him go with a smile.]

-Elensia-

(Shop)
Shop Clerk: Hello. It looks as though we're in for some rough weather.
Shop Clerk (Talk): The sky has a sort of muddiness to it that I really don't like. It's just like an abstract painting of someone's nightmare.
---
City Resident: To tell the truth, I've got the jitters. I keep thinking I'd be able to tough it out if only King Hrathnir were here...
---
Shop Owner: Do these skies mean that the Guardians have grown angry? I'm sure Katrina could do something to appease them if only she were around...

(Synth. Shop)
Forger Sonnetica: No matter what we may be in for, I refuse to turn my back on this workshop.
This place holds the hopes and dreams of generations of synthesizers who came before me.
Forger Sonnetica (Talk): Welcome back. This shard of bravery will endow an item with the power to banish your fears. Now, let me show you the power of synthesis!!
---
Royal Knight: On my honor as a Royal Knight, I'll defend the kingdom, the capital, and the people until my very last breath!!
---
Royal Knight: Your Highness, you must set out for Mt. Urartu as soon as you are able. Do take care to prepare well for your journey, though.

(Pub)
Lemarchand the Waitress: The Drifters who had been in the shop are all lending a hand evacuating people from the capital.
Lemarchand the Waitress (Talk): Where could Reverend Mother Edna be at a time like this?
No one's sure of Lady Katrina's whereabouts yet, either. It worries me, I tell you.
---
Famm the Drifter: Wh-what the hell?! Looks like the world went and got itself into a pickle while I was tyin' one on!
Aw man... Not lookin' too cool right now...
---
Hazel the Drifter: Hey, isn't there something we could be doing? It'd be a shame if we Drifters didn't pitch in and do our part, what with things as they are.

(Streets)
Royal Knight: Princess Katrina has been missing for some time now.
Thanks to the current state of affairs, though, the people out there looking for her have had to put the search on hold.
---
Marone the Drifter: The air seems to waver from time to time, and then I hear this low, rumbling sound... Do you think it's just my imagination?

[Upon leaving Elensia, a link from Lonely Waterside forms to Foothills of No Return, which is marked with a red !.]

-Lefas Corner-

Smiling Lady: With the sky looking so odd, the sun can't very well smile down on us, can it? I won't be able to dry my laundry, either... What a pickle!
Smiling Lady: I can't stop thinking of waking up tomorrow to a bright and sunny day... I can hardly wait!
---
Farmer Returning from the Fields: I don't want the world to end yet... The vegetables in my field are waiting for me to harvest them! O Guardian of the Fields, please grant us your protection!

(Synth. Shop)
Matthew the Forger: I had a nightmare that the sky looked strange, but it didn't look nearly as bad as it looks in real life...
Anyway, now that I'm awake, I might as well do some work.
Matthew the Forger (Talk): Don't you think there's something a little romantic about dozing off in bed while the end of the world approaches?
---
Matthew's Assistant: Master! Let's pack up our things and flee to another country! There's still so much I want to do in life!
---
Troubled Villager: I'm not going to give up! The world can't end until our damn bridge gets fixed, you hear me?! It just can't!!

(Pub)
Bookworm Barkeep: Hi there. No matter how bad things are, I've been reading books and having interesting conversations with everyone, as usual.
A traveling scholar's been visiting as well, so things have really been exciting!
Bookworm Barkeep (Talk): The main participants in the fight against the otherworldly being were the Guardians of Filgaia.
Only the Guardians, with bodies that resembled that of the otherworldly being in structure, possessed the power to harm the being.
Using this knowledge, the humans of that time constructed a "Guardian Gun," which worked using the power of the Guardians.
..."Gun"... What do you suppose a "gun" is? I wonder if it's some sort of weapon they had back then?
In another literature it's written that the Guardian Gun was actually a Guardian that had taken another form...
There are so many things I'd like to know, and yet, the details are scarce.
Most of the documents about these things have been long since lost in the mists of time...
---
Upset Young Man: It's too scary sitting around and waiting for something to happen, so I've been taking my mind off things by walking around and talking to everyone.
There's something interesting in the Apocryphal Histories of Elesius...
They say that in the distant past, a glorious civilization disappeared from the planet of Filgaia in the space of 77 days after an attack from an "otherworldly being" that descended from the heavens.
There aren't any surviving documents from the time, but some scholars believe that Elesius itself was in fact named after the otherworldly being...
They say it was pure evil, an embodiment of certain destruction.
It seems that the reason that the world of Filagai is so barren today...
...is that the battle with the being caused so much damage to the land that even the heavens couldn't heal it.
I wonder if this is related to that "hole" up there in the sky...
---
Traveling Scholar: At long last, the Guardians bested the being, but they couldn't kill it, so they buried it deep under Filgaia's ground.
They then put it into a deep sleep by hammering the Guardian of Death into it, like a wedge.
But the more the Guardian of Death digs its fangs into the being, the more the surrounding land is adversely affected and dies.
For that reason, the other Guardians erected a barrier to contain the power of the Guardian of Death and restore life to the land.

(Shrine)
Shrine Priestess: No matter what happens, let us maintain our faith that everything is going to be all right.
If we keep our faith strong in tough times, this will sustain and empower the Guardians. For their name is not a false one.
They are the true guardians of Filgaia.

-Santanica-

(Shop)
Trader Rudra: What do you think is going on with the sky? Nothing good, I'd imagine.
Trader Rudra (Talk): From here, it looks like we still have some time before that thing in the sky reaches Santanica.
It might be wise to charter a sand skiff ahead of time and head south to the desert if things get out of hand.
Heh heh, I've got enough money to pay my way out of this town, that's for sure!
---
Talbott the Merchant: If you ask me, the princess medium has got to be behind the recent changes in the environment.
---
Housewife: Who could stare at the sky at a time like this?! Just look at all the stuff somebody left in that wagon!
The life of a housewife is a constant struggle between price tags and expiration dates, you know!

(Synth. Shop)
Forger Etra: There's been no shortage of trouble in Elesius lately, to be sure. If you ask me, the sky would look much cuter in light pink...
Forger Etra (Talk): I guess this is the sort of thing there's really no point running from.
Besides, these two keep telling me that Chevalet Blanc will do something to help.
...Sure, I'm sure you'll come up with something.
I might not look it, but I'm really not worried in the least. Not one bit.
...So I'll see you again someday.
---
Haute the Drifter: ...These dilly-dallying bosses are the worst sort. If we run into trouble, I'll drag this slow-poke to safety myself if I have to.
---
Upton the Drifter: What do you think, should we beat a retreat...? Don't get me wrong, boss, if you want to stay, we'll stay...

(Pub)
Mellow Barkeep: Hello there. Things are still rather quiet here in Santanica. Maybe it's the distance between us and Mt. Urartu.
Mellow Barkeep (Talk): That gave me quite a shock, you know.
I went to take a look at the sky from my window, as I do now and again, and there's that gaping hole staring down at me.
It's not like it's gonna disappear if I pretend not to notice it though, right?
So I'm keeping my eye on it, and praying it'll disappear the whole while. I don't know what else there is for me to do.
---
Young Entrepreneur: Mt. Urartu lies in that direction. Legend has it that a mechanical boat once descended from a hole in the sky there.
You don't think anything else would come out of that hole, do you...?
---
Antiquarian: When I was your age, I journeyed the length and breadth of Filgaia, looking for the answers to all the riddles I wanted to solve.
And before I knew it, I'd become the old man you see before you.
Hah hah hah, startled you, did I?
...
So your mother thought that the lost technology called the Yggdrasil System is necessary to restore this withered land...?
I see... That explains it...
Well I've got something I'd like you to hear as well.
I've confirmed that the Yggdrasil System appears in the legends as something called the "World Tree".
All the tales concerning this World Tree put it in a savage land even further north than Elesius--in a place called Arctica.
...
I consider myself lucky that our paths in this wide world crossed today. You're continuing down the road I've walked these many years...
If you have any hope of pursuing your own dreams some day, you'll have to do something about the problems afflicting the land first.

(Outskirts)
Southern Merchant: Only a fool tempts danger, and sticking around here would be asking for trouble.
I'm packing up and heading out just as soon as I finish business this afternoon.
---
Merchant's Assistant: It looks like we'll be traveling the sand again, then... Which means nothing but beans from here on out.
Wish I'd eaten a few more gourmet meals while I still had the chance.
---
Nadine the Drifter: The winds that whine across the Dunes have a sound that can wear you down. They'd make anyone lonely that had to listen to them long enough.

-Port Atraige-

(Shop)
Merchant Olrof: Welcome. If there's any hope left in this world, it's my intention to hang on to it.
Merchant Olrof (Talk): Chevalet Blanc has my full support. Hang in there!
---
Store-Minder Vitalie: I know you can do it. I just know it. You're the founding knights of our country, after all.
---
Connie the Drifter: You know, I haven't been in Elesius long, but I feel like I've experienced enough earth-shattering events to last a lifetime.

(Synth. Shop)
Forger Robb: Yep! You name it, we synthesize it!
The sky's looking pretty depressing right now, huh?
Forger Robb (Talk): Yep! This store is filled with memories for both myself and my lady. We're gonna fight it out here till the very end.
---
Mixing Girl: The sky looks like the color you get when you mix red paint with bue paint, doesn't it?
Boy, I used to love experimenting with that sort of thing when I was little...
If it can be mixed, I love messing with it!
---
Port Worker: ...I've made up my mind. I'm gonna leave Elesius and try exploring the rest of the world for a while.
The only thing bothering me is that crazy sky. I would've preferred to leave Elesius under a bright blue sky, myself...

(Bar)
Carefree Bartender: Everyone's so distressed by the creepy sky... I hear that more and more people are trying to get out of Elesius.
Carefree Bartender (Talk): That hole in the sky sure is creepy. You guys be sure to take care of yourselves out there, all right?
---
Battle Fanatic: "Amplifier", one of the skills Sentinels can learn, doubles the amount of damage a unit delivers in the following turn.
Use it twice, and the effect is tripled. Combine that with a powerful Original attack, and you can wipe high-HP menaces off the map in a flash.
Just be careful when telling jokes while Amplified, okay? You might get twice as many laughs, but if it fizzles, the blank stares will be twice as embarrassing.
Of course, things being the way they are, we could all use a good laugh to take our minds off things. I sure wouldn't mind a good Amplified joke right now.
---
Waitress: They say that the early bird gets the worm, but where I come from, it went "The early platypus gets the barley"...
You see, in my hometown, we have a dish called the platypus barley bowl. It's a prized treat, one we never got to eat very often.
The simple, pleasing taste of barley rice, harmonized with the soft, rich platypus meat... Sigh...it's been far too long since I've had it.

(Outskirts)
Heinz the Drifter: Well, I got my map, but I never did get around to touring the kingdom... Just realized that right now.
Guess I better get moving before the world ends, huh?
---
Foreign Merchant: I was just about to take off, and now this happens. Ah, well... Guess I'll be here 'till the bitter end.
---
Gossip Girl: "The end of the world is coming! Hell's gonna get so full, it'll burst open and the dead will walk the earth again!"
...is what the guy next door said. Boy, was he ever excited!

-Poliasha-

(Shop)
Shopkeeper Brown: I don't care what the sky looks like... There's gotta be some way to right it!
Shopkeeper Brown (Talk): I hope with all my heart that Chevalet Blanc can find a way to get our blue skies back. I'll be cheering you on the whole way!
---
Gilliam the Drifter: Strange times we live in, aren't they? And speaking of strange, are you familiar with Doppelgangers?
They,re some kind of ghost or monster that copies your exact appearance. They're dangerous as an enemy, so be careful if you run into one.
The experience of seeing yourself lunge toward you, eyes full of hatred and malice, is enough to make you lose your mind, I'm sure.
---
Foreign Traveler: And so it is that I face the end of the world far away from my homeland. Mother, Father, forgive me...

(Synth. Shop)
Muehlen the Forger: There's no better time than now to synthesize up some items. Hone them to a polished sheen, and all your troubles will just dance away...
Muehlen the Forger (Talk): So, you discovered the allure of spikes yet? Has your soul opened up to the joys of horns and antlers and such?
Before the final battle, you'll want to raise your weapon's MAG and your armor's RES. Synthesis with monster ingredients is just the ticket for that stuff!
---
Alejandro: The rumors say it's the end of the world...and they're starting to sound mighty plausible.
But it's funny how calm I feel, knowing that... It's all happening so suddenly, it hardly seems real at all...

(Inn)
Ellen: Just a little more work left to be done! I'll have a nice hot meal waitin' when you come back!
Ellen (Talk): I know you can do something about this. I believe in you!
---
Jim the Drunk: Wah hah hah hah! There's a giant whirlpool in the sky? Well, so what? It's always looked like that!
Huh...? Well, this is how the sky always looks to me...
---
Krelia: I will pray to the Guardians. I will ask for your safety, and for Elesius's blue sky to return once more...

(Plaza)
Brandon: This is some pretty serious stuff, isn't it?
---
Fellman: Princess! You're going to Mt. Urartu, aren't you? Please, please be careful! I'll be praying for you with everything I've got.

-Hanigar-

(Shop)
Shopkeeper Bigelow: Welcome. I wanted to eat my favorite food one more time before the end came, but I can't narrow it down to just one thing...
Shopkeeper Bigelow (Talk): It's not gonna start raining purple or anything, is it? If it does, I think I'm gonna start crying.
---
Namby-Pamby Clerk: Hello there...
I can't help but feel we'll find a way out of these dire straits. We got Hanigar back from the Martial Guard, after all.
...Am I being too optimistic?

(Synth. Shop)
Foreman Phil: Welcome. Even if it's our last day on Filgaia, it's a forger's job to put his all into his work.
Foreman Phil (Talk): That horrifying sky... What's going to happen to Elesius...? Or to Filgaia, for that matter...?
---
Workman: Once I concentrate on my work, all my fear just fades away.
---
Workman: Looking back, I feel like my entire life's been nothing but training and discipline... I never even got to experience love! Sweet, bitter love!

(Bar)
Innkeeper Gaspar: Hey hey! I'm gonna uncork all the bottles I've got left in the place. Time to drink, drink, drink till you drop!
Innkeeper Gaspar (Talk): I better get rid of my diary right now...before anyone finds it!
Oh, but I guess once the world ends, there won't be anyone left to discover it and find out all my deep, dark secrets, huh? Oh well, no big deal, then.
---
Ore Miner: What a blow this is... The kingdom had its whole future ahead of it, and now the world's gonna end...

(The Elder's)
Jeune the Elder: In all of my long lifetime, I've never seen the sky do something so frightful...
---
Housekeeper: O Sky Guardian... Please forgive me for lying to my granddaughter. I'm only trying to keep her from getting scared...
---
Elder's Granddaughter Toco: You know the weird sky? It's just the Sky Guardian doodling. He's not very good at it!

-Richala Rose-

(Shop)
Orvan the Clerk: Did you see the sky...?
Orvan the Clerk (Talk): I was gonna visit Promise Hill to look for that Item Scope a customer of mine lost, but it looks like that's on hold for a while.
Heck, someone else might've already gone there and used Detector to find it, for all I know...
---
Bamburgh: Is-is this the end of the world? Is poison gonna drop out of that hole or something?

(Synth. Shop)
Martilo III: We've got to stay calm at times like these. Welcome to my shop.
Martilo III: The end of the world kind of sneaked up on us, huh? Just like that, it seemed... Sort of a letdown.
---
Vigorous Man: What the heck is that?! Is the Council up to their old tricks again?!

(Bar)
Drifting Barkeep: Welcome. I will accept whatever comes my way...is what I'd like to say to myself, but man, I'm just not prepared for this at all.
Drifting Barkeep (Talk): I've heard all kinds of tall tales in my travels across Filgaia, but I have to say, this is the first truly extraordinary thing I've seen with my own eyes.
Hearing about something sure doesn't match seeing it, huh? When I look into that hole in the sky, it's like I just can't stop trembling.
---
Daniel: Weisheit's supposed to be dead, isn't he? Then is it that lost technology or whatever that's screwing up the sky this time?

-Crestabelde-

(Shop)
Jolly Shopkeeper: Hi there, welcome to our store! Come for a front-row seat to see the strangest-looking sky we've had in years, eh?
While you're at it, why not buy a little something to commemorate the occasion?
Jolly Shopkeeper (Talk): They say gella's the only thing that's constant, even if the world ends!
Well then, this is the last chance I'll get! I'll get you to make a purchase if it's the last thing I do! Haw haw haw haw!
---
Part-Timer Girl: Things are tough for everyone right now, and all the owner can think about is making money! I think he's pretty much desperate at this point...
Then again, I'm only doing this 'cause I wasn't able to resist making three times as much as my last job, so maybe I'm just as bad as he is...
---
Daring Regular: It looks like everyone's getting out of Crestabelde...b-but I'm not gonna run! I'll never abandon this store!

(Synth. Shop)
Winston the Forger: You think you might be able to make it quick? I'm going to be closing the shop soon.
There are far more important things to be doing right now than synthesis...
Winston the Forger (Talk): That eerie hole in the sky gets bigger the more you look at it, doesn't it?

(Pub)
Hotel Manager: I regret to inform you that this hotel will be closing indefinitely due to unavoidable circumstances.
Please take care, and may we meet again someday.
---
New Front Desk Clerk: Argh, what the heck!
I finally get my dream job, and now they expect me to pack my things and hightail it out of town, on account of the sky looking a little weird?!
I'm going to stay here all nice and cozy, thank you very much!
---
Royal Knight: All employees should evacuate the city immediately!
Lady Alexia, please leave the evacuation of Crestabelde's citizens to us!

(Main St.)
Royal Knight: Princess! What is that strange thing spreading across the sky above us? Just looking at it gives me a headache...!

[As the party arrives at Mt. Urartu, Weisheit is already there, waiting for them.]

Weisheit: I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this, Felius.
I am delighted to see you, but perhaps you would be so kind as to send your companions home?
Felius: So you were alive after all, Kressen!
Felius: But you're a shadow of your former self! With your diminished powers, there is no way you can have your revenge on Elw Borea now!
Weisheit: Do you really think so? Then turn your head skyward, toward that gaping maw above us, and tell me... What does it look like to you?

[Felius looks up to the sky.]

Felius: A...dimensional transport gate...
Weisheit: Very good, Felius, though I'd expect no less from the pilot of the Lombardia. As you surmised, this is a gate used for the purpose of interdimensional travel.
Weisheit: A dark door to the subspace universe that fills the rift between worlds. But imagine, for a moment...
Weisheit: What if the gate led not to the subspace of interdimensional travel, but directly to another world?
Felius: --?!
Weisheit: What if that gate directly linked the worlds of Filgaia and Elw Borea? Heh heh heh... What do you suppose would happen then, Felius?

[Felius gets agitated.]

Felius: SHUT IT DOWN!!! Shut it down, Kressen! If you don't--

[Weisheit grins widely, putting his hand to his head and leaning backwards.]

Weisheit: Precisely!
Weisheit: The worlds' gravities would gnaw away at each other until both have been torn apart. It would cause nothing less than a complete dimensional collapse.
Weisheit: When it begins, there will be nothing that anyone can do to stop it! Unprecedented disasters will sweep over both worlds like hurricanes!
The worlds you know will be transformed into unimaginable hellscapes!
Weisheit: Heh heh heh. Hah hah hah... Ah hah hah hah hah hah hah!
Felius: Kressen!
Weisheit: Filgaia and Elw Borea...
Weisheit: The two worlds shall meet, and annihilate each other.
Alexia: Our world will be destroyed...?
Clarissa: This is the revenge you've been planning...
Weisheit: Revenge! Yes! That's exactly right!
Weisheit: The world that refused my dominion shall know my revenge. Let it dissolve into light, or be plunged into darkness!

[Weisheit lowers his hands.]

Weisheit: This is revenge! Revenge against the world that rejected me!
Felius: I will stop you... This time I will prove that I can protect everything from you!
Weisheit: You'll do nothing of the sort, Felius!
Weisheit: The only thing you can do now is hand your body over to me.
Weisheit: With the biopatterns from your body, I can unlock the Lombardia's controls and fly her to safety!
Felius: --?!
Weisheit: You see, with the primitive ARM that I hold, I have the ability to forcibly inject everything that makes me "me" into the body of another.
Weisheit: That's how I've been able to survive indefinitely after landing on Filgaia hundreds of years ago!
Weisheit: When one body begins to fail, I toss it away, and inject myself into a new one.
Clarissa: Weisheit, the conqueror... You would trample over us all to plunder our future...

[Weisheit draws his sword.]

Weisheit: Felius! Once I take over your body, the Lombardia will be mine!
Weisheit: Filgaia and Elw Borea may be destroyed, but so long as I have the Lombardia, I can travel to any world I like!
Weisheit: I shall find a new land to conquer. And this time, I shall succeed the throne of Belia Lugos, the Lord of Darkness!

[On the Tactical Map, several golems and a new Asgard warp into the place.]

=D.E.R.=

Labyrinthia: Let's take a look at the Tactical Map we'll be fighting on.
Labyrinthia: We'll be starting here...
Labyrinthia: And the enemy line looks like this.
Labyrinthia: This golem army alone is overwhelming... But it's Weisheit, returned once again to battle us, from whom we have the most to fear.
Labyrinthia: This battle will be decided by how well we can defend against his attacks. Remember your past experience with him as you come up with your plan.
Labyrinthia: It's also worth noting that we're fighting on snowy, mountainous terrain--not the best environment for complex maneuvers.
However, Weisheit is fighting with the same disadvantage as we are.
If we overcome the rough terrain ourselves, we can use it to put a damper on the enemy's movements.

Weisheit: Filgaia and Elw Borea... What better way to prove myself the Lord of Darkness than by destroying them both?
Hah hah hah hah hah hah! Ahhhhhh hah hah hah hah hah hah!!

[When all the golems but Asgard are defeated...]

-Reinforcements appeared!-

[The battle ends when Weisheit is defeated. Weisheit clutches at his chest.]

Weisheit: Arggh... Damn you... Damn you, Felius...
Weisheit: ...
Weisheit: Arrrrrrrrgh... The damage to this body...is too great...
Weisheit: Give me your body, Felius... I must have your body...
Felius: I will never let you use my body for your schemes!
Weisheit: I want it, Felius! I must have it! Felius!!!

[Weisheit charges at Felius, reaching his hand out, but Felius slashes at him with his halberd. Weisheit collapses to the ground as his body begins to glow and fade.]

Felius: My family lives on this world. Filgaia is my home!
Felius: My life and my body exist to protect it.

[Weisheit's body fades and Felius puts his halberd down.]

Clarissa: Felius!
Levin: Is he really dead? Is he gone for good this time?
Felius: It felt like a killing blow. But...
Alexia: But what?
Felius: But we still haven't stopped the dimensional gate that will cause Filgaia and Elw Borea to destroy each other.

[They look at the sky and, indeed, the gate is still there.]

Clarissa: Felius...
Felius: I will protect you. You, and my beloved family... And Filgaia, my second home.
Clarissa: Right.
Felius: If I can use the Lombardia's dimensional transport system, there might be a way!
Labyrinthia: Can something still be done?
Levin: If not, we'll just have to find a way to do something anyway!
Ragnar: Absolutely. It wouldn't be like us to give up without a fight.
Alexia: This time, Chevalet Blanc isn't fighting for the kingdom of Elesius, but for all of Filgaia!
Felius: As the only man who can pilot the Lombardia, stopping the dimensional gate is a mission that fate has entrusted to me.
Clarissa: I'm tired of always being protected... This time, it's all of us who will protect you, Felius. If we all fight together, we can win this battle!
