Words of wisdom to live by

I've worked in IT administration since 1995 and I'd like to pass on to you - my friends - a bit of advice that might keep you from 3 years of working weekends and all nighters. It is, simply, "Never buy an IBM rebranded NetApp filer for Exchange snapshots and snapmirror backups."

Both and for the exact set up you describe! That is going to be so MUCH fun! For an added bonus, they're putting Exchange on a Virtual Server with the NetApp for the public and private store.

oh I'm not leaving State, just Kolkata. Tour's up and I'm off to DC for a couple of years to work in the Crypto Office as the Audit Chief. Gonna terrorize the IMS overseas with my POWAH! Or not. LOL

Never trust a Microsnot product and never put thy faith in an Ace kicker.

Yeah, cuz Exchange is always ALWAYS a bitch. I really wish we hadn't bent over and took it from MS, but we have so we're stuck.

Of course, State is known for breaking it's toys so it would really matter what we had, we'd break it.
