I agree. I’ve been worried since this whole thing started. He’s spiraled pretty badly in the past. I was already worried that the show ending would play have with his emotional balance. Sure hope this was a people do stupid things sometimes kind of thing and not the beginning of worse coming for him.

I have no idea what happened with JP but they don't let me out of lab anymore. (I'm also doing a solitary fanfic slog that took over my life). That being said, fannish people and very young people can often have very black and white thinking and lack a grasp of the gray that age and experience brings.

Also remember you don't have to like everything someone does (including on Twitter), and not everyone is a twit with a megaphone.

why can’t you be a fan of a whole human, and still acknowledge their faults? It's indeed troubling to be evenhanded and see others not be. It makes me not want to be a fan sometimes despite fic, despite icons, despite everything including cons.

There does seem to be a lot of ‘all or nothing’ kind of thinking these days. No one’s perfect but we can still care about them.
