FIC AT LAST

Jul 17, 2008 15:09

So I've been away for awhile, or at least...I haven't been writing much. I've been spending my summer laying around the house reading books (I'm rereading Atlas Shrugged again. Why am I reading this book again? But Howard Roark, for reasons unknown, is starting to remind me a lot of Spanner) and...watching movies with my sister (I saw Hellboy II ( Read more... )

I haven't seen you around in so long! I think I'm going to drop EverNoir too, and just rping in general. >< I just don't think I'm that good at it, nor is it as fun as something else I could be doing. But thats just me...LOTS of people LOVE to rp, huh? XD

What did your teacher say about your story?

Yeah, sometimes it's fun and sometimes it isn't :( But I don't think I'm ready to give it up just yet

*tacklehugs* I never know when you're on AIM or not, so spam me sometime so we can talk, okay?

IDK, because I just turned it in yesterday, so I haven't gotten any feedback on it yet. I wish he hadn't said "Has to be based on personal experience," because I was like "Damn, but nothing I ever wrote about was strictly personal experience..." so it ended up being a ridiculously huge chore. *laughs* IDK, we'll see.

RAhhh, I don't really like AIM, though. The only time you caught me on AIM was actually the last time I went on XD.

Oh, haha, but did you really live in a moldy house and later move to a ...scary house?

Bleh; we'll go back to email, then XDDDDD Or else I'll just POST MORE

Yeah, I really did. We spent three years out of our house remodeling it and moved back in...only to discover that there was something wrong with the plumbing in my sister's bathroom and that mold had spread underneath all our floors (which we discovered because the floors were warping). So we moved into this rental house that my mother's friend's parents owned and it was seriously...well, IDK about haunted, b/c I don't really believe in that, but I seriously did start staying up all night and I became really paranoid.

This. Was. Amazing. I'm so glad I decided to read it instead of sleeping.
...
Also, now I'm worried that you actually may have thrown up in fear, and it makes me all worried.
There may be the possibility of retroactive hugging.
As soon as I figure out how to make it work.

(and was the sink linking or leaking?)

Nah, it's fine. I only felt like throwing up. It was dry heaving, more like.

Did you seriously like it? I seriously hated it.

...did I make a grammar booboo somewhere?

I seriously liked it. It was like one of those old projector movies flashing across my wall. Except everything was colored a faded dusty yellow-brown. Very still and quiet.

I understand about the lack of motivation when writing about oneself though. That's why I don't apply for as many scholarships as I should -I just can't take the horrid essays. They're not even real essays, they're just hack. That's it. Hack.

"the sink linked/leaked"
Technically, I think it's spelling. But I was a complete nerd and looked it up to make sure, and it could totally be grammar if you meant to say "linked" but wanted the meaning of "leaked"...
Whoa. I didn't just do that, did I?

I love the descriptions and the suspense. Not really feeling the ending, to be honest. It sounded like you were tired of writing and just wanted to end it quickly. I guess I was expecting more. An image of a ghost at the window. A last glance at the haunted house...I dunno...maybe I've been watching too movies. XD

Good to see you back, though!

Ah, no, that was because I finished it about...two hours before it was due and I was just trying to get the damn thing done. I really procrastinated on it without meaning to, because I wasn't really into the project.

I will probably fix that later when I can look at the assignment without wanting to pummel it XD

Ah, I see. I feel your semi-apathy. I usually have trouble writing about real-life experiences w/embellishments myself.

Yeah, it turned into this horrible caffeine-driven experience. I really never actually tried writing about something that had happened in real life.
