about customization, i guess i cant help you
i just use a default theme with a css just to set "wallpaper" of my journal :P

well, long time ago when i set that in my lj, then i check here again for the rock paths...

i go to http://www.livejournal.com/customize/ as cynnerth said
in my case, i receive a advise about i still use S1 style, and i click option for continue with S1

at the bottom of page, in section overrides, i put this lines
