as for st. louis, though...maybe i'm just in my honeymoon period with it, since i just moved here, but i like it so far. although, i notice a lot less queer here than back in chicago (where i just moved here from.) that is sad.

oh lord, you poor thing. you had to spend even more time in North Carolina than i did.. where did you live down there? i myself lived in Rocky Mount. :p
and as for St. Louis, you may be in the place i was in when i moved here, which is hey, it's not North Carolina! but you've lived in Chicago, as have i, and comparing St. Louis to Chicago is.. well, comparing North Carolina to St. Louis. ;)
here we pretend we're a "big city", but it's really just endless midwestern suburbia surrounding an ugly cultural wasteland of a downtown. St. Charles county voted against extending our one-line "mass" transit Metrolink because OH NOES THE BLACKS FROM DOWNTOWN COULD GET TO OUR PRECIOUS WHITE SUBURBS.
hah hah, but anyway, excuse my rant. St Louis sucks. :D

yeah, i know st. louis really doesn't compare to chicago. i miss the public transit (i don't have a car here, so i'm basically living off the wash u transit system (i'm a law student at WU) and the cars of various people i know here.
but, this city really needs more metrolink.
