Burt walks in on Klaine/ Homophobic thoughts

It's been a long time since Burt has had a truly homophobic thought, especially towards his son. But when he walks in on said son taking it up the ass from his yuppy private-school boyfriend, Burt finds himself battling the first homophobic thoughts he's had in a long time.
I'd prefer it if he didn't actually confront Kurt with those thoughts, but instead battled them internally.

Burt turns around, leaving the phone in his office. The truck starts and he floors the gas pedal. Two guys having sex in his garage curls his stomach. It rumbles, igniting a sharp pain in his chest. Burt swears angrily and fights his weak heart as he pulls over. Gasping, he struggles for air until the driveway comes into sight. Carole is sitting on the couch watching a movie. She stands, frowning as soon as he steps inside

I can't tell if this comment is a joke or not.
Homophobia isn't always exhibited through, fists, a baseball bat or getting up in someone's face; having thoughts like these is also form of it and the author captured it perfectly.

...no, actually, this fic sounds like it was written by a queer person trying desperately to write about homophobia, it doesn't sound like s/he was using the narritive voice of someone who is actually homophobic. That's what I meant.

Actually, this anon is bisexual, and has faced biphobia/homophobia head on. I just want to thank the other anons for complimenting/defending my story. I really don't see the need to respond to the negative/rude comment other than to say I have, in fact, heard these very same words from my own parents. This is why I used them here. My parents--my mother in particular--thinks that homosexual relationships are "perverted" because that is what her church teaches. They mistake me as strictly "gay" and don't understand how bisexuals can be attractive to both.
Constructive Criticism is always welcome. I filled this for the Original Poster, who seems more than happy with the fill, so I am content with this. I am also content and happy to have other anons defend it. So feel free to make some more passive-aggressive comments, if you like. I think these comments are epic and they crack me up.

I loved this. I think you did a great job at showing Burt's conflicted reaction to seeing Kurt having sex. On the one hand, that's his son. He's usually very accepting and supportive of Kurt. On the other, he has the instant repulsion for what they're doing. The language you use to convey those two dueling reactions for Burt is really effective. He notice's the trust his son has for Blaine and the the love in his son's voice. However, he feels uncomfortable with them acting on their sexuality and starts thinking of the two as sexualized deviants at the end when he calls Blaine a "perverted fag." It's just heartbreaking.

(Now not so) Anon FILLER here!
Misnamed, LJ had me upload about 20 times before it finally took. I completely lost count (along with a good deal of patience) and couldn't edit afterwards anymore: it bugs me to see the wrong numbers every time I look... It's complete though!

This is so much better than whatever it is I hoped for. It actually hurt to read (in all the best ways, though, of course).
Thanks so much for the fill.
