this idea just popped in to my head,
there is a school shooting at mckinley high school, i picture the shooter being Jacob ben israel, most people get out of the school, they find out that there is still fifteen people left in the school including a teacher, i want there to be a mixed range of people to be in the building, i picture the glee club all together outside worried about there members that are still in the building i picture Artie, Brittany, Santana and Kurt still Being in the building, they would pick up people who are still in the building, needs to be hurt Kurt.
Re: Kurt, Shootingkurtana_fanOctober 3 2011, 23:09:32 UTC
I'd consider filling, if Kurt could be both hurt!Kurt and heroic!Kurt and is still in the school not because he couldn't get out but because he's trying to help someone else...
Also if the OP doesn't mind it being a rather short one-shot...

There's about a page and a half in my notebook as I type this. I should have at least some of it up by the end of the week. Also, what's your opinion of character death? Because I'm not sure I can realistically avoid it...

This is writing itself to be longer than expected and taking a few twists that weren't quite in the prompt. Just to double-check, the 'they' referenced in the prompt that pick up others...that's the four in the building, or are some people outside suppose to break and play hero? The first 2 parts are Blaine POV, up next will be Tina

No one even came to the classroom until the police arrived and evacuated them. The moment they were outside, amid dozens of other rescued students, Blaine turned his attention to searching through the crowd for Kurt. The whispers got to him almost imminently. "There are still people in there" some sobbed "they haven't caught the shooter yet" others gossiped. He was just looking for Kurt

I'm just going to be hyperventilating over here now, kay?
Way to set up the tension. I love Blaine's POV in these two parts; by using him to start the story, you put us in his position of knowing just enough to be terrified, but not enough to know what's going on. Kudos also for making Blaine FEEL like a real person: not wanting the authority that he had unwittingly taken on, feeling like it was a 'betrayal' when he refused to allow Finn to look for Kurt.

As painful as they were, the worst part of slushie facials was the humiliation. So while in some ways being struck in the back of the head was better than the usual in the face they'd put up with for years. No painful stinging in your eyes, and yet it was so much more of a nightmare for long-haired girls like Tina

What?! No part 5 yet? HOW can you be so mean? That's why they call it the angst-meme I guess; We're just ANGSTING for another part;). In the meantime, I'll just go sit in the corner and calm my nerves until you update and shred those nerves again...

I realized (1. how incredibly spoiled I am as a reader and (2. how amazingly nerve-wracking this story is when I had a mini-panic attack after seeing that part five has yet to be posted. The shifting POVs continue to make this horribly/wonderfully tense, as we learn more about who's inside and bits and pieces about what's happening. Seeing the outburst of emotions from survivors (and yes, I can absolutely see Puck reacting that way) is making it even harder. Wonderful take on this thus far.
Re: Kurt, Shooting FILL Authors notekurtana_fanOctober 12 2011, 03:37:21 UTC
A/N: Things I learned this week. Writing Artie POV is HARD. Also, cookies if you can tell who the random student they encounter in this part is meant to be played by! Next part I'm going back to Blaine, I can't crack into Artie's brain very well. My attempt was just a little too long along with this note so it's coming in the next post.
