Shelby Beth Abandon Puck

Shelby felt an empty place inside her and believed the child she gave up 16 years before could help fill it. She sought her out and when it failed to feel "good" she left and adopted a fresh new baby, unaware of the damage left in her wake. A year later she returns, a stressed working single mother. She finds a young man willing to love her child, and her but she can't love him. She allows him to help with the baby and has sex with him to make herself feel younger and more in control. When it doesn't make her feel the way she wants to, she throws him out the door

This hits on so many of the issues I have with Shelby's character! Seconded, thirded, and fourthed!
