Smoke and Ash - Legend of Korra AU (Series Spoilers), Firebender!Kurt, Equalist!Blaine.

Epic!Prompt is Epic! Set in Republic City, current Korra timeframe.

Kurt Hummel is a Firebender.

After accidentally starting a fire that left his father badly burned, Kurt devoted himself to controlling his bending as much as possible. As a result, he can firebend with enough precision to cut down a spiderweb without hurting the spider. Even so, he rarely uses it outside of very specific circumstances, and he never uses it to hurt people. Even when the bullies at his school torment him for the way he dresses, or the way he talks, he refuses to fight back with firebending. He doesn't think his power should be abused in that way

BONUS POINTS:
1. Blaine fanboys Amon. Like, has an actualfax creepymask poster hidden in his room. Further points if he changes his mind by the end.
2. Similarly, Kurt thinks Avatar Korra is fabulous and fanboys the Fire Ferrets (and may or may not have an innocent crush on Mako).
3. Neither side of the Revolution is overtly vilified (though Amon can be).
4. Kurt and Blaine are forced to fight each other at least once. I'm a sucker for a good fight scene, especially if it's loaded with angst.

I might write this myself. I just spent two-and-a-half hours developing this prompt, no lie.

I haven't seen the new Legend of Korra stuff yet---was waiting for the first season to be done and then watch it all at once. But OMG, this prompt made me WANT to watch it to badly! I can't wait to delve into this world, it seems like Nick did it right (again!). I want this story, too, so I encourage you to write it and then I'll read it and the whole world will be spiffy! I especially like the idea of Blaine as an Equalist, because I can completely see that.

Title: Lights Go Down (In the City)
Rating: PG-13 for innuendo, swearing, violence. R for hard violence in the first Chapter (not the Prologue).
Spoilers: Huge spoilers for The Legend of Korra.
Warnings: None for Prologue. Extreme graphic violence, victim blaming for Chapter 1.
Word Count: ~1500 for Prologue, ~10,000 for Chapter.
Summary: Two boys, from two very different worlds, come together in love only for a Revolution to divide them. All’s fair in love and war, but when the two collide… which will survive? Fusion with The Legend of Korra.
