Finn's home alone one night, waiting for his mom to get home from work. It's getting late and there's still no sign of her. He calls Kurt to check if his mom's at his house but Kurt's not answering his cell. He reluctantly calls their house phone, hoping he's not disturbing Burt sleeping, and either Burt or Kurt answers. His mom's not at their house either.

Finn was kinda worried. Mom said she was working the one to nine shift. She usually got home by ten on those days. Unless she went shopping, but he usually got a call or a text on those days. She hadn't called or texted to tell him she was going to be late. He grabbed his phone and typed a text. 'Where r u?' He paused and looked at the time. Eleven oh-four. She shoulda been home already. He sent it.
Eleven fifteen P.M.
Okay, so it had been about ten minutes since he sent the text and nothing. She usually tried to call if she heard from him. I should call. She almost never misses a call and if she does, she calls right back. He picked her number out and hit send. Finn hit the voicemail message and he ended the call. He tried again after a minutes and got the voicemail again. Okay, maybe she can't get tot her phone right now. Maybe it's like superbusy and she can't get away. No, because even then Ruth would pass a message to me about that. Mom asks her to do that if it's superbusy ( ... )
