Puck angst, spoilers for S2, ep 9 anonymous December 3 2010, 02:38:32 UTC
Puck was locked in an overturned porta-potty for 24 hours, and that had some major negative effects on him. I want to see Puck with severe claustrophobia, severe anxiety, and possibly even a fear of using the bathroom. Strong smells of chemicals or feces cause him to have panic attacks, and he eventually develops problems eating, and possibly even mysophobia and OCD. His friends watch him slowly become more and more unraveled until he's barely functioning.

Bonus points if only one or two gleeks notice and try to help him. Extra bonus points if Emma tries to help him, and starts to break through the anxiety, until he inadvertently triggers her OCD, and she relapses.

Can end happy, but I'd like lots of pain first.

I posted a similar prompt a few pages ago (though it was missing a few of the elements yours has), and I'm glad to see that other people want it too :D I hope this gets filled!~

I'm going to take a stab at this. I hope somebody else decides to fill this as wll, because I don't know how long it will take me. Probably quite some time. But traumatized!Puck is now my headcanon, so I want to give it a shot.

You're welcome. It's weird. I normally write fluffy Klaine fics with a little bit of angst thrown in for good measure, but this week it's been angsty Puck and angsty Rachel all over the place. Could be because I'm dealing with some RL angst (just had a death in the family) but one would think I'd want to get over that by writing fluff. And yet the angst prompts are the ones calling my name, not the fluff prompts. Hmmm.

Glad you like it. I'm already planning out the part where some of the gleeks notice stuff, and Emma tries to help him. I hope I can get there soon, but I feel like the story is rushed, so I'm trying to slow it down. I really like this one, and I don't want it to be finished in 2,000 words or less.

Puck repeated the words, getting more and more frantic. There were tears in his eyes, and Noah Puckerman didn't cry. He was humiliated. He didn't want anyone to see him here, broken and crying like a little bitch, covered in shit and G-d knows what else. He wanted to be at home in his bed. After he showered for at least an hour ( ... )

Thanks. It's very slow going, I have no idea when part three will be finished, but I just posted part 2. Sorry it's so short.

A few days after Sectionals, Puck woke up screaming. He'd been back in that capsized porta-john again, unable to move, unable to get out, the smell of shit and vomit and urine all around him. When he woke up, he was in his dark, cluttered bedroom. There was so much clutter, everywhere. He turned the light on and started cleaning. It was two in the morning, and when it was time to start getting ready for school, he had his entire room clean. He gathered up his dirty laundry and hauled it down to the laundry room. The washing machine was in the cellar, and there wasn't a light switch, so Puck had to go down the rickety cellar stairs, to pull the chain next to the bare bulb to turn the light on. He'd done it a thousand times in his lifetime, but this time, it bothered him. He couldn't see where everything was, and he felt like the walls were closing in on him. Once he had the light on, doing laundry was manageable. He washed all his sweatshirts and long-sleeved shirts. He'd been cold lately, and really enjoyed staying ( ... )

I love this.... so much.
I agree with theauthor2010, they just totally brushed that off in the show but when it happened I got chills thinking of what Puck was going through... in my headcanon. This is awesome.

Thanks. Some of the one-off lines they throw in Glee can be seriously disturbing. Like the line about Brittany in the sewers, or Puck taking steroids. I know they're supposed to be funny, but they can be really creepy if you think about them too long.

Yeah! I thought about the steroids one too! Seriously fanfic writters should elaborate on that stuff.

Hanukah was really early that year, the first week of December. Mrs. Puckerman didn't have a lot of money, but she always tried to make Hanukuh special for her kids. It was hard buying sixteen decent presents on a nurse's salary, but she made it happen every year. Noah helped her in the kitchen making food, and her parents came over. Sometimes her brother and sister-in-law would come celebrate the holiday at their small house, and Naomi would get to see her nieces and nephew. Despite the attitude her son put on when he was out of the house, Noah was really good with his cousins and his sister, and he always helped her around the house-provided his 'buds' weren't around ( ... )
