Someone on the football team - bully, Gleek, whatever - is feeling conflicted about their sexuality and stuff. He thinks he might be gay, gets kinda turned on by guys, thinks they're cute. Could even be Karofsky, but he's already got things going on onscreen. Or even trans, and starts thinking of herself with female pronouns, sneaking her mom's clothes in private or using feminine pronouns in foreign language class by "accident". Up to you what the issue exactly is.

This student is confused, obviously can't talk to their football peers because they don't want a slushie to the face. Decides to confide in Coach Beiste for obvious reasons - her appearance, the "butch", the "man-lady" thing. Thinks Coach has always had his back when it comes to game time, too, so she'll understand.

Beiste isn't gay, isn't trans, isn't even questioning at this point in her life, doesn't know how to console this poor kid. But she tries to help him (or her) out anyway.
