What Happened After. (S2 Spoilers, epic!angst) morkhan January 18 2011, 21:44:21 UTC

"This isn’t a story with a deeper meaning. There is no moral at the end. On January 28th, 2011, Kurt Hummel walked out of the small house he shared with his family and never came back. This is the story of what happened after."

In other words - Kurt disappears. And he is never found. He does not come home. He does not show up at Dalton. No body is ever discovered. Police might find a lead or two (his car, his cell phone, etc), but they ultimately go nowhere. Eventually, the search is called off.

The story should deal with the aftermath of his disappearance. Include as many people as you care to.

Happy ending is obviously impossible, but a bittersweet 'trying to move on' ending is fine. Again, the most important part of this story is that Kurt is never found, and no one learns what happened.

Inspired by 'Ten Thousand Miles,' a Supernatural fanfic, and possibly the single most heartwrenching story I've ever read.

If I get the time to do it, I will, but I've got a few other stories on-going at the moment. In the meantime, if somebody else wants to fill this, please do. I'd love to read something like this as well. I guess that was both a claim and a second?

Oh, good lord. That last line... we've barely even begun, and I can already tell this is going to destroy me. Great start, anon. Whether intentionally or not, you're using a similar style to the fic that inspired this, with the timestamps and all, which is in no way a bad thing. Little details like that-- the sort of thing that would be noted when an investigator constructs a timeline of someone's disappearance-- just make it all the more heartbreaking. ;-;

My nose is already running. I don't know that I will survive this fic. But I'm willing to try if you're willing to keep writing (I hope you are).

I'm so glad you like it! And I'm sorry I made you cry with the first update! I'm not sure if it's going to get better or worse... Probably worse. :/ The timestamps are kind of inspired by the massive amounts of Law & Order I watch, where they're always giving exact times and locations between scenes. I'm saving the Supernatural fic to read after I'm done with this. (It will probably destroy me. Dean without Sam? No...)

I can't seem to stop writing this fic. I started this morning and it's already 2,300 words long. /o\

Augh, Blaine! I know that you're a teenager and it's in your blood, but why did you have to lie?! That's not going to look good... But part of me is still thinking, "At least he got to tell Blaine he loved him before he went missing." ;___; You're killing me and it's only just begun.

I love your character voices, especially Kurt's. The time-stamps are also a really, really nice touch. ♥ I can't wait to see more of this!
