When Mike has a gun found in his locker, everyone panics. What was he planning to do- cause a school shooting, kill himself at school, rob the office? It's all the buzz at McKinely and Mike is suspended as a investigation occurs. Nobody in Glee wil talk to him, even Tina. None of them trust him. At one point, in an effort to find out why the gun was there, he's set to privatley talk to Ms. Pillsbury about why he had the gun.

Turns out he had brought it to school two days prior because he was scared his Dad was going to shoot his Mom.

(remember, this is glee, and if Brittany got a parrot to stay in her locker, I'm sure someone could smuggle in a gun ;] )

Would you mind if the truth is discovered through a different means? I love Emma, but him telling her doesn't really fit with what I've written so far...

A/N: First ever fill! Hope it's okay.He doesn’t know what to do with it. He can’t just leave it in the house, not when his mom has long since stopped calling 911. He can’t throw it into a dumpster for anyone to find; if someone found it and used it, it would be his fault. He doesn’t know how to get rid of it, so he brings it somewhere that he can control. Anon fail? What anon fail? Also, apologies for the tinyness of this.

Tina is the only Glee member to visit Mike in the hospital. She sits by his side and holds his hand, until the silence gets too loud and he starts to talk. He doesn’t once look at her the entire time, but he knows that there are tears coursing down her cheeks.

He’s sure that they’re preparing some musical number to show their support for him, but he asks her to keep them away anyway. Some day, he might have the courage to share this with them. Some day, when his ribs have healed and his dad is locked away for good.

“I couldn’t think of anything else to do with it,” he tells her. “I couldn’t just leave it in the house. I… I was scared.”

Some day in the distant future, when it doesn’t hurt so fucking bad.

This totally broke me. I really needed to read some good Mike angst and this fit the bill perfectly. I could feel his terror.

You shouldn't be afraid to own up to this one cause it was EXCELLENT.
