Blaine considered trying to start a conversation with Kurt, but when he reached into his bag and pulled out a book, Blaine sat back and decided to get a start on his math homework. Lord knew it would take him long enough.
Of course, it took even longer with him pausing every thirty seconds to admire the way Kurt’s biceps emerged from the sleeves of his shirt, but he did actually manage to complete the assignment by the time the bell rang.

Well, at least when he wasn’t staring at his arms or ass.
He honestly was just relieved that no one had called him out on the amount of staring he was doing, or the amount he wasn’t paying attention to his teachers, for that matter.
Except for Wes. “You’ve got it bad,” his friend informed him one day in late September when he sat down across from him at their lunch table. By that point, he had accepted that he hadn’t just missed Kurt that first day and that they didn’t have the same lunch period. On the day of the show, the first two rows in the auditorium were roped off for the show’s participants so that they could easily slip backstage to prepare when the act before them went on. Wes and Jeff were the second act on, so they started off backstage and ended up grabbing the seats to Nick’s right after they were done.
