I'm attempting to write him for the first time for a gift fic and I want to make sure I do it justice 'cause I've never really read any Jesse!fic, let alone wrote any.

Any advice? Like, what are some things I should be sure to stay away from? What are the typical Jesse tropes that you see?

I haven't read much Jesse; I think the main thing to watch out for is making him a caricature of himself. I know that's important in any fic, but I think it's tougher with characters that we don't "know" as well.
