Is there anyone specific in fandom who you want to get to know better? If so, maybe reply to their posts in comms, or to their fic, and strike up a conversation. Then add them, or tell them you'd like to add them. Friending memes can sometimes be good for this (except all the ones I've seen lately are full of people hearteying over Finn/Rachel and Blaine's dapperness).
