Sam Evans knew he wasn't the brightest crayon in the the box, but he fairly certain that when he went to bed the night before, he hadn't had giant feathered wings sprouting from his back. But he did now, and he was going to have to deal with it. Standing in front of the mirror, Sam examined himself. They were slightly taller than him, and they were a bright white. He wiggled them experimentally--and they moved! His wings moved! He tried flapping them once. There was a crash as they knocked some things off his dresser. He lifted an inch off the ground. Could he fly? Could it even be possible? He'd have to try later, otherwise he'd be late to school. He cut two slits in an old flannel shirt and slid it over his head, before running downstairs for breakfast ( ... )

As cool as they were, Sam really hadn't thought much about just how ungainly having wings would be. And they itched like crazy. How the heck did birds do this ( ... )

Back in Ohio, Tina Cohen Chang knew something was amiss. She walked down the hallway, where several jocks were holding big plastic cups.

"I hope they don't see me!" she thought to herself, trying to shrink in on herself as she walked next to her boyfriend. It actually felt like it was working! She seemed to get smaller, and smaller, until suddenly, she realize she was shrinking. And getting a lot furrier ( ... )
