oh oh oh, kittens-wrapped-in-sugar-cotton-candy-fluff-and-dipped-in-chocolate. This was sweeter and cuter than words can describe. Everything is so beautifully tentative and REAL. I forgot to mention from last chapter, one of my favourite parts was when Blaine asked to hug Kurt. It's true though, that's what kids are like. It's so easy to forget that Kurt and Blaine are only children because on the show they look like (and are played by) adults. The movie scene was wonderful, the whole hand-holding conundrum. Made me remember the first time I held the hand of the boy I liked, sitting next to him on the bed, hyper aware of him, inching our hands across the top of the bedspread until our pinkies where lightly pressed against each other.

Thank you for saying they're 'real' - it's my hallmark in stories, to keep them in character and this is the first AU I've written so it was extra important (all my other stories are canon compliant in the moment).

And thank you for the comment on the hug - you're the first one to specifically mention that. It just felt so awkward, and teenage, and perfectly Blaine to me. You are not the first person to say the handholding thing made them think of their first bf or gf...I know! We forget those huge moments so quickly. But they are everything to a fledgling teen.
