Sassy Blaine owns my heart.

UGH this chapter was so adorable! Easily my favourite part was Blaine's breakdown when he admitted to being shallow and thinking Kurt was hot. I laughed out loud.

Sassy Blaine - totally! I just wrote below - I love what I call 'sassy gay Blaine' - think locker scene in PPP, holding hands scene in 3.14, walking into the choir room after sectionals (3.08), locker scene in TFT - I love this Blaine, a little looser, embodied. Just perfect. And incredibly attractive IMHO (and Kurt's of course).

And you're the first person to point out that particular line! Yay! I was debating whether it was too forward - so glad it worked. I did like it in the end.

As always, this story is full of fluff and happiness, I absolutely loved it. Of course, I loved Finn's line in the first part, about Blaine being much hotter than either one of the bullies. Also I always love supportive Puck, there was a lack of Artie and Sam but meh, I didn't notice until literally just now.

Anyways I loved it, I loved the second part, though I think I enjoyed part one more. There was more making out xD

You're the first to comment on Puck and Finn. In canon, I feel like these boys have all come around completely and are true friends and allies. And Puck - totally an ally and totally inappropriate, just like canon. There are always ND supporting cast members in my stories, and it really just ends up being who jumps into my head in a given moment - no offence to Artie and Sam!

It's really just one big chapter - LJ makes you divide up posts that are 'too long' - over 5000 words. But it's true, the more detailed making out was in the first part. Lots of more of that to come in the epilogue...

This story was wonderful. I love the slow build up and chemistry and anticipation and first time excitement and god, just so much. The popcorn was my favorite bit, I think. A long forgotten memory of sharing a bucket of popcorn with the cutest boy in fourth grade resurfaced. It was immediately joined by seeing Rent with my then girlfriend now wife, trying to discreetly hold hands. And the hand holding for the first time. I'm sorry if this is incoherent. You just took me through this wonderful story of anticipation and the first time experiencing reciprocated desire and all of these memories are flooding back and I have to be at work soon and will never be able to sleep because I'm a little giddy. Anyway. Fantastic fantastic fantastic beautiful wonderful story. Thank you so very much!

I love this review - thank you so so much. Quite a few people have said the feelings are taking them back to those 'fist time' memories when holding hands is EVERYTHING. Those were exactly the feelings I was trying to get at. There is just something so compelling and intriguing about those firsts, and as you put it, first time experiencing reciprocated desire. So glad you liked it.

I'm curious - did you read it all just now? You'd be the first to read it as a complete rather than a WIP. And I will be doing an epilogue with lots more firsts, and a higher rating.

I did read it all together, yes. I've been watching the posts on K_B, waiting for the story to be complete. As soon as I saw that 5 had been posted, I started reading it. I swear, I fell asleep at 3:30 a.m. with goosebumps and a goofy grin because of how sweet and wonderful this story was. I'm very excited to read the epilogue. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

One thing I loved in particular was how young the boys came across. Usually when I'm reading a story they seem so much more mature. Granted, they are more mature than most 15 and 16 year old people I've ever met, but I don't think it's always realistic.

I'll just keep saying it again and again. I love this story. I think you did a fantastic job. Thank you for writing it. Thank you for bringing the old memories and extra bit of happiness to my world. :)

This was really the loveliest review - thank you. And your comment about how young they are - totally. That was totally the energy I was going for. As another reviewer put it, that first time reciprocated desire just gets me.
