Dave hated going on business trips during the holidays and this year was no different. Well besides the fact that his very pregnant husband Noah was at home and it was the anniversary of when their first date. Who knew that one could fall in love over latkes at the temple’s annual Chanukah party? Not Dave that’s for sure but to the surprise the two former enemies had become a couple. Now three years later, Dave was married to the love of his life and stuck at the stupid airport due to a blizzard that had come at quiet a surprise to the people of New York.
As he cursed the white stuff accumulating outside, his phone rang. The sound of “Come What May,” echoed through out the tiny lounge before Dave answered it.
“What’s up babe?” He asked Noah, hoping that everything at home was okay.
“It’s Jake, Noah is in labor,” his husband’s brother said, trying to break the news gently.
“Damn it!” Dave screamed. Noah was about to give birth to their child and he wouldn’t he there to see it thanks to all flights out of New York being cancelled. “Listen to me Jake stay with him!!! Please tell him that I am sorry and that I wish that I was there with him.”
“I promise, I won’t leave his side. I’ll take to you later.”
Three hours passed as Dave nervously drank coffee while pacing around the airport lounge. Finally his cell phone rang again. Quickly answering it, he asked, “Is everything okay?”
“Congratulations daddy it’s twins; two boys,” Jake announced excitedly. “Both father and babies are healthy.”
As Jake continued to tell him what happened in the delivery room, Dave sighed. He would have loved to have been there for the birth of his children. Now he could only hope and pray that the weather cleared up soon so he could be home. Thankfully by the fourth night of Chanukah his prayers were answered and Dave was able to celebrate the miracle of lights with his family.

Honestly, a burnt turkey and an ex-boyfriend was what Finn planned when he decided to make Thanksgiving dinner at the Hummel-Hudson house. Preparations were actually going pretty well with Dave and Kurt’s help when he blurted out a certain piece of news that began the downward spiral into holiday hell. He had been making cookies when Finn happened to mentioned how much he look forward to doing it with own child in a couple of years. He just didn’t realize how much chaos that one little statement would cause.
“You’re pregnant? Dave asked as Kurt discretely left the kitchen.
“Yes, three months,” Finn replied nervously.
Fidgeting, he hoped that his boyfriend would be happy about his news. They had been going out for a year and things were getting more serious so Finn was feeling very optimistic. What he didn’t expect was for Dave to storm out of the house after saying, “I can’t do this.”
Now here he was all alone with a burnt turkey in oven but Finn knew he could handle the pregnancy on his own. He didn’t need Dave. As much he as loved the other boy, his child was more important. After all he was raised by an awesome single mother and there was nothing that would stop Finn from being just as amazing. As he sat there in the kitchen he vowed he would be the best father this child could ever have.

David let out an annoyed grunt as he straightened his tie for the fifth time, as he and Sebastian approached the steps to the Smyth household.
“David you look fine. Everything will be fine.” Sebastian said with a smile.
“Yeah. Easy for you to say, they have to love you. I am just the guy in his mid-twenties who knocked up their son.” He groaned.
“I love you, so by default they will too.” He said giving Dave’s hand a squeeze.
“I just didn’t want to meet you parents as Mr. I-got-you-only-son-pregnant-out-of-wedlock guy I mean what-”
David was cut off as Sebastian pulled him into kiss and guided the taller boy’s hand down to his stomach where their child was kicking up a storm. They pulled apart and smiled at each other.
“Better?” Sebastian smiled.
“Yes.” He took a deep breath and gave his boyfriends hand a squeeze. “Let’s do this.”

“One, two, three, four and five.” Sebastian counted as he moved his little metal dog around the Monopoly board.
“Oh, Park Place. That would be mine baby, cough up.” David laughed.
“All I have is five bucks.” The brunette huffed.
“Well I guess you will have to come up with another way to repay me.” Dave said with a wink.
“Okay, ew.” Blaine said looking at the couple. “I know you re only here because Kurt asked you to keep an eye on the pregnant guy during the storm and the black out, but gross.” He huffed. “Only you two could make Monopoly into a sex game.”
“Oh I don’t know about that.” David smiled. “I heard about a pretty wild game of Clue that ended with you and Kurt in the kitchen with the rope.”
Blaine turned five shade of crimson before picking up the dice. “So David.” He coughed a little out of embarrassment. “I think it is your turn.”
